CAMP DIRECTOR AND COUNSELORS MATT BOLLANT Head Women’s Basketball Coach With a 325-106 career record, Bollant has averaged 25 wins per year and has reached the postseason 11 times as a head coach. In his third year as head coach, Matt Bollant has already begun to revitalize a dormant Illinois program with consecutive top-25 recruiting classes and a pair of major award winners. Bollant came to Champaign-Urbana after five very successful years at Green Bay, where he guided the Phoenix to five straight Horizon League titles and four consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament. Bollant began the turnaround immediately at Illinois, knocking off No. 6 Georgia and upsetting No. 24 Ohio State in Columbus, a victory that snapped the Buckeyes’ 31-game home winning streak, in his first campaign. He guided Karisma Penn to an honorable mention All-America honor and helped Adrienne GodBold become the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in 2013. In 2014-15, the Illini knocked off a pair of ranked opponents, including a big win over No. 9 Kentucky, as well as topping No. 17 Iowa despite a key injury suffered early in the game. Bollant and his staff have made immediate strides on the recruiting trail, signing two classes ranked in the top 25 nationally with four top-100 players, including a 2014 McDonald’s All American, and has three impressive signees due in for 2015-16.
