FROM THE DESK OF MIKE THOMAS Dear Fighting Illini Family:

I would like to offer my most sincere gratitude for the loyalty you have so faithfully shown with your support of Fighting Illini Basketball. You are the foundation of our program and have been instrumental in helping us achieve the success we have been fortunate to enjoy in the past. Now, with the Illinois Renaissance, you have the unique opportunity to influence our future and elevate Illinois to even higher levels of excellence.

The Illini Nation is excited to be on the threshold of a new era of Fighting Illini Basketball. The renovation of State Farm Center will most certainly return this iconic facility to national prestige as being one of the most innovative and electrifying venues at the collegiate level. It will provide a thrilling homecourt atmosphere unlike anything we have experienced in the history of our basketball program. Additionally, this powerhouse arena will undoubtedly attract the nation’s most elite student-athletes to Illinois, and, in turn, advance our program to one of perpetual national dominance. With the renovation on schedule, it is now time to begin the seat selection process for the 2015-16 basketball season. I’m pleased to present the details on timelines, opportunities, and ways in which you may contribute to this magnificent facility and our program. With your continued support, we will provide an amazing gameday experience to our fans and an intimidating environment to our opponents.

At your convenience, please review the seat selection process and details. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the Illinois Ticket Office at either 1-866-ILLINI-1 or at illinitickets@illinois.edu. Make a difference. Make an impact. Secure your new Fighting Illini Basketball seats today and be our partner in the Illinois Renaissance of State Farm Center. Go Illini!

Mike Thomas Director of Athletics

THE LEGACY When it opened on the Urbana-Champaign campus on March 2, 1963, State Farm Center became an instant classic. The first concrete-domed sports structure in the world, it has

been the site of countless events, from memorable Fighting Illini basketball games to state high school wrestling championships to famous musical performers like Elvis Presley and the Rolling Stones. In the multi-purpose house that architect and Illinois alumnus Max

Abramovitz designed, untold numbers of spectators have thrilled to the hardwood antics of the Harlem Globetrotters and the acrobatic artistry of Cirque du Soleil, Broadway

blockbusters like “Cats” and “Les Miserables,” and family favorites such as Sesame Street Live. This iconic house, this House of ’Paign as dubbed by faithful fans of Fighting Illini basketball who know what home-court advantage is all about, has served nobly as the beloved destination for spectators of all stripes.

Now, more than 50 years old, venerable, distinctive State Farm Center remains much more than a workhorse facility that has been the

scene of indelible memories for tens of millions of spectators. The structure is a unifying thread in the fabric of the University of Illinois.

THE LANDSCAPE

The Illinois Renaissance, estimated at $169.5 million, will be one of the most ambitious building

improvement projects in U of I history, and will benefit everyone—students, alumni and visitors from

near and far—for decades to come. The impact on Fighting Illini basketball will be especially profound, reflective of the University’s and the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics’ commitment to elevate and

sustain Illinois at the elite level of NCAA competition. A renovated and rejuvenated State Farm Center will open the door for the University of Illinois to host National Collegiate Athletic Association

championship events, bolstering the reputation of the athletics program and serving notice that the Urbana-Champaign campus is a top-notch destination for the highest level of collegiate sports.

Through the Illinois Renaissance, the University of Illinois will build on its commitment to provide a superior experience for all student-athletes, paving the way for them to compete at the highest level for championships in the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA.

S T A T E F A R M C E N T E R . C O M

YOUR LOYALTY More than ever, Fighting Illini fans will have the opportunity to become

key partners in the success of their basketball teams. With an eye toward

improving the game-day experience for all fans, the Illinois Renaissance will

entail improvements to the expansive Upper Concourse, including new seats and more restrooms and concessions. The A and B sections of State Farm

Center will be reconfigured to accommodate premium seating (Courtside Club, Legacy Club, Founders Suites, Legacy, Loge and the Traditions Club) and three new club spaces and expanded area on the floor for the energetic student members of the Orange Krush (increasing from 700 to 1,200) and the

University of Illinois Basketball Band. In addition, Fighting Illini athletes

will have new locker rooms, training facilities and meeting areas for game

preparation. Other planned major improvements to State Farm Center through the Illinois Renaissance are air-conditioning, which will allow the facility to

host events for student and public enjoyment year-round, and exhibit areas,

including a basketball Hall of Fame, that will showcase the grand tradition and success of Fighting lllini basketball.

The Illinois Renaissance is a major and necessary undertaking, one that calls

on the support of many for the benefit of all. This sweeping project will involve and better serve University of Illinois students, Fighting Illini student-athletes, and fans of Fighting Illini athletics and the world-class entertainment that has been a hallmark of State Farm Center.

v v

Annual game at the United Center in Chicago. Annual Braggin’ Rights game against the University of Missouri in St. Louis. Big Ten Basketball Tournament. NCAA Post-Season Tournament.

The University of Illinois values its heritage and tradition. The Priority Point System honors the consistency and loyalty of Fighting Illini fans throughout the years by recognizing seasonticket purchases as well as their level of financial support.

Every customer will be ranked first by their current I FUND giving level, then by priority points within that specific I FUND level. All non-donors will then be prioritized according to their points after the lowest I FUND level. By joining the I FUND, you improve your allocation in State Farm Center and post-season.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Can I select the same seats I have always sat in? Yes. If they are available at the time of your personal scheduled appointment, you will be able to select and purchase the same physical seat locations you have held in previous seasons, as long as you meet the current I FUND membership requirements for that particular area. Remember though, because of the new seating configuration, the section and seat numbers of those locations will no longer be the same.

Is it possible to select seats with my friends? Yes. To do so, simply check the box, and submit your address on the Contact Information Update Form to have a Group Seating Information Packet sent to you. The group appointment time will be assigned based on the lowest ranking group member according to the Priority Point System. The group contact person will select seats for all members of the group during their scheduled appointment time.

When is the latest I can donate to the I FUND to increase my priority point total? Priority points awarded for donations received on or before February 1, 2015 will be used to determine appointment times. When will I know my appointment time? Appointment times will be assigned and communicated to season ticket holders during the month of March 2015. Seat selection appointments will begin on April 22, 2015.

What happens if I am not available during my appointment time? Please make every effort to be available during your scheduled appointment time so you will have the opportunity to select seats that are an appropriate reflection of your giving level and priority points. If you realize in advance you will not be available, you have two options: v

v

Another individual may be named to select your seats for you. You would simply need to provide your login information to the other individual. They will be able to log into the website and select the seats for you.

You may submit your preferences and a member of the Illinois Ticket Office stafff will select the best available seats for you, based on your preferences.

S T A T E F A R M C E N T E R . C O M

Are my seats guaranteed forever? To keep seats in the same location on a year-to-year basis, you must maintain the minimum annual donation associated with your I FUND Membership Level. In an effort to reward generosity and encourage support, State Farm Center will go through a similar seat allocation process every four years, so there is no guarantee that your seats will remain in the same location forever.

What will my seating options be? All seating options will be addressed at the time of your appointment. Season ticket holders are encouraged to visit fightingillini.com prior to their scheduled appointment time to view available seats and potential options.

When will the reseating process begin? Appointment times will be set in February 2015; the first seats will be selected on April 22.

Will my parking location change? Complimentary season parking passes will continue to be sent to all I FUND members who are season ticket holders. After you have chosen your seat location, you will have an opportunity to select which lot you would like your parking pass to be located.

When is payment for my seats due? A non-refundable $50 per seat deposit is due at the time of your seat selection appointment. The remaining balance will be due July 17, 2015.

How many seats can I order? Patrons may purchase an unlimited amount of season tickets; however, the number of seats eligible to be in a priority seating area will be determined based on their I FUND membership level. How can I obtain additional priority points, or move up in my priority standing? There are two ways to obtain priority points. First, priority points are awarded for each year of consecutive football and men’s basketball season ticket purchase. Points are also awarded for each dollar donated to the I FUND in your lifetime. A statement detailing your current priority point level and ranking will be mailed in November 2014. To make a donation and gain additional priority points, please call the I FUND office at (217) 333-6595.

Will everyone be completely happy with their seat location? We certainly hope so. We anticipate some fans will have seats in a new area that is different than what they might be used to. One of the benefits of this process is that each individual ticket holder has the opportunity to select their own seats based on their own preferences. Do you like to sit on an aisle? Do you prefer to be as close to the action as possible? It will be up to you to select seats based on your individual preferences. Fans particularly worried about their seat location should contact the I FUND office to discuss estimated seat locations for the varied membership levels. Am I able to lower my I FUND membership level after I have selected my seats? Ticket locations are assigned based on your annual I FUND club level. Failure to maintain your I FUND club level could result in your seats being relocated.
