Commuter - $385 (Includes lunch, dinner and a Fighting Illini Tennis (F.I.T.) camp T-Shirt.) DISCOUNTS Recieve the Early Bird discount of $50 per camper if registered BEFORE April 1. Teams sending 4 or more campers will receive a discount of $50 per camper. Teams will also receive the Early Bird discount of $50 per camper if registered BEFORE April 1—a discount of $100 per camper! Please check team discount on the application form. A separate form is required for each camper. Forms must be mailed together. CHECK-IN 1:00–2:00 pm on first day of camp at the Florida Avenue Residence Hall. CHECK-OUT 11:45 am on final day of camp at the Atkins Tennis Center. (Weekend accommodations will not be available.)
PERSONAL NEEDS Campers should bring at least one racquet and court shoes with non-marking soles. Please bring an appropriate amount of workout clothing for five days of on-court play and casual clothing for evening activities. Resident campers should bring their own blanket, toiletries, towels, washcloths, soap, and sunscreen. Linens will be provided. It is recommended that campers bring spending money for snacks, racquet stringing, equipment, or souvenirs. ACCOMMODATIONS Junior campers will sleep and eat at the Florida Avenue Residence Hall (FAR) which is located less than ½ mile from Atkins. FAR features air conditioned rooms, large recreational areas, TV lounges, a 24 hour reception desk, and food service to meet all nutritional needs.

CAM P D I RECTOR S The Fighting Illini Tennis Camps (F.I.T Camps) feature a diverse and experienced staff comprised of elite student-athletes from around the country. The June 14-18 week and the July 12-16 week will both be co-directed by University of Illinois Men’s Tennis Coaches Brad Dancer and Marcos Asse. The July 29-August 2 week will be directed by Jim Tressler, Director of Atkins Tennis. Members of the current women’s and men’s Illinois Tennis teams will coach and hit with campers throughout the course of the camp. Also, other collegiate players from the area are recruited to serve as camp counselors. All instructors possess a high degree of playing skill and undergo a rigorous training program to prepare them for their role as teachers at the Fighting Illini Tennis Camps.

BRAD DANCER Since being named Head Men’s Tennis Coach at Illinois in 2005, Brad continues to uphold the established tradition of excellence within Illinois Tennis. In his first season, Dancer coached Kevin Anderson and Ryan Rowe to the program’s third NCAA Doubles Championship. The following year, he led the Fighting Illini to the Finals of the NCAA Team Championship. The 2011-12 squad captured its first Big Ten Tournament title in seven years.

Marcos, a sixth year Associate Head Coach with Illinois Men’s Tennis, is poised to assist in furthering the traditions of Illinois Men’s Tennis. Before coming to Illinois, Asse served as the Associate Head Coach at William and Mary for five seasons. As a player, Marcos competed at the University of Florida and is a 2001 graduate of the institution.
JIM TRESSLER Since his graduation from the University of Cincinnati, Jim has experienced many facets of the tennis industry. After receiving his B.S. in Management and Marketing, Jim coached women’s college tennis as the Assistant Coach at Indiana and Florida, respectively, and then as the Head Coach at Alabama. Next, Jim accepted a position at Nike where he worked in the Tennis Sports Marketing Department. He began working at the Atkins Tennis Center in 2000. Jim is certified by the USPTA and PTR.

Home of the 2013 NCAA Tennis Championships
The Fighting Illini Tennis Camps take place at the Atkins Tennis Center which is recognized as one of the premier tennis facilities in the country. The home of Illinois Tennis features 20 outdoor, lighted courts, 12 of which make up the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex which was dedicated in September, 2009. Six indoor courts are located on site and will be used in the event of inclement weather. Atkins also boasts public locker and restroom facilities, a state of the art training area, fitness equipment, and a Pro-Shop offering tennis racquets and accessories, restringing services, footwear and apparel, and Illinois Tennis merchandise. This world class tennis facility provides campers with everything they’ll need for a once in a lifetime tennis experience.
