Technical Standards NAFCO Powder Coating plants are basically patterned on British Standards 6496: 84 Specifications for the application of inorganic coating to aluminum and steel products. All of NAFCO Powder Coating's equipments were installed and commissioned by a well-known pioneering company, ERCON Group, which is based in the United Kingdom, and specializes in establishing the costing equipment and pursuit of British standards in powder coating plants around the world. Other standards to perform the quality tests for finished and sample products are drawn from European ISO specifications.

A. Jigging Area This is where the materials are thoroughly examined for defects or structural problems prior to be treated chemically. The materials that pass inspection are then attached to specially designed bars- jigging- to be moved to the Pre-Treatment process. B. Pre-Treatment Eight (8) stages follow this Pre-Treatment process : 1. Degreasing : We use a mild alkaline degreasing agent that is silicate free to remove any oil or grease from the aluminum. 2. Alkaline Etching : This process is to remove or mask any scratches or impurities on the surface to give a smooth, polished and even material for coating. 3. Rinsing Water 1 : This step removes any residue that might remain after alkaline etching. 4. Acid Etching : Using acid gives the aluminum a second layer of polishing. 5. Rinsing Water 2 : This step is used to completely remove any residues from alkaline and acid etching. 6. Deionized Water Part One : This removes any surface salt from the aluminum 7. Deionized Water Part Two : The second rinsing removes any drag or salt prior to deoxidizing. 8. Deoxidizing & Sealing (Non-chrome) : This is the final stage of our Pre-Treatment process, and is used to seal the material for superior adhesion properties and to avoid corrosion in pretreated aluminium. www.nafcocoatings.com

THE PRODUCTION LINE

THE PRODUCTION LINE

C. Dry-Off Oven After Pre-Treatment, aluminum needs to thoroughly dry off in a special oven. This is to ensure that there is a complete seal of the conversion coating weight process due with non-chrome. D. Cross over Area This is where jigged materials are hooked to the conveyor belt to be moved to the electro-static powder coating booth. E. Spraying Booth Area Spray booths consist of four spray guns per side, for a total of eight spray guns. Digitally, volume, pressure and electrical charges are set to control the thickness of powder, coated over aluminum or steel surfaces to give a smooth and even finish. F. Curing Oven This oven is approximately 35 meters long, and is designed with special infrared zones which are used to cure inorganic coatings over aluminum profiles. Each profile then passes through the oven for about 1520- minutes to set the coatings properly. We follow the powder manufacturer's guidelines for how long we cure each finish. G. Offloading and Packing Area The finished products are off loaded by special cranes that are designed for this purpose. Then, they are packed in wrapping paper and special protective plastic casing and packed onto pallets that are secured by steel bands for added security. When the load is safe from slipping or shifting, it is loaded by fork-lift onto our trucks for delivery. www.nafcocoatings.com

THE PRODUCTION LINE

THE PRODUCTION LINE

THE PRODUCTION LINE The Wood Finishing We also offer decoration powder coatings in a powder-to-powder technology process to achieve wood like effects. This kind of technology is obtained in two steps: (1) main /base coating is first applied and partially cured; (2) using a special filter and following a specific pattern, the final coat is applied on top of the base coat. Then, the system is fully cured. It should be made by the same manufacturer — the main coating and top coating. In able to define the pre-curing and curing conditions, the appropriate powder supplier’s technical data sheets shall be available in the decorator’s plant. This line consists of: 1. Jigging Area After Pre-Treatment and partial curing, the materials are thoroughly checked prior to be designed appropriately. Also, especially designed bars are used to jig those materials. 2. Application Area Two tables, with a length of 7-8 meters are available to use in applying the decorations. One table where in partially cured materials put into and the other table where the specific design to be applied for. 3. Curing Oven This is where the final curing happened. With the length of 8-9 meters, the top coated aluminum materials cured for about 35-45 minutes with a minimum temperature setting of 195-degree Celsius. 4. Packaging Area After thorough inspection from the Quality Control Department and passing all the standards and in-house control, all final decorated and cured materials are ready for proper wrapping and delivery.

QUALITY TESTS & STANDARDS Our powder coating process adheres to the strict standards based on the guidelines set forth by Qualicoat and EN ISO and as specified by our chemical and powder suppliers. Quality control procedures are closely monitored by our own laboratory, which operates as an independent body in order to ensure the accuracy and relativity of tests performed. Prior to running the production, three sample panels are coated and submitted to the laboratory for various mechanical tests. If all tests exhibited satisfactory results, the production shall be proceeded.
