ABOUT AIESEC
AIESEC is an international non-governmental not-for-profit organization that provides young people with leadership development and cross-cultural global internship and volunteer exchange experiences across the globe, with a focus to empower young people so they can make a positive impact on society.
AIESEC is a global youth network that aims to impact the world through leadership development experiences. It envisions "Peace and fulfillment of humankind's potential," by developing globally-minded leaders that live by its six core values: Activating Leadership, Demonstrating Integrity, Living Diversity, Enjoying Participation, Striving for Excellence, and Acting Sustainably. The AIESEC network includes over 100,000 members in 126 countries and territories. It is the largest youth-run organization in the world.
ABOUT GLOBAL CITIZEN
Global Citizen is an AIESEC program which offers voluntary internships. They are usually short term in nature and involve working on diverse community projects and in different organizations. Projects include teaching, promoting HIV/AIDS awareness, working in human rights, environmental sustainability, leadership development and more. The exchange participants are to bear the airfare, travelling, shopping and visa expenses. AIESEC makes a genuine effort, but does not ensure securing an internship in any country of the participant’s choice.
ABOUT JECP
Jakarta Environment Care Project 2015 JECP is about environmental sustainability and our objectives include to increase environment awareness in Jakarta. There will be various activities in hoping to give a good impact to the society. Our project will run for six weeks which our exchange participants will have different and fun experiences but also give a big impact to the youth and adults in Jakarta to increase their environment awareness.
VISION Our vision Regarding to the low environment awareness in Jakarta, we want to encourage young people to start moving, be aware about the environment, and take several positive actions to cope with environmental problems in Jakarta including traffic congestion, garbage management, air pollution, waste management.
MISSION Our Mission To give an impact to the society and increase the environment awareness in Jakarta. In a long term people will start to realize that environment is important for the next generation.
SOCIAL PROBLEM DEFINITION
Environmental issues in Indonesia are associated with the country's high population and rapid industrialization.
They are often given a lower priority due to high poverty levels and an under-resourced governance.
Issues include large-scale deforestation and related wildfires causing heavy smog. Over-exploitation of marine resources. and environmental problems associated with rapid urbanization and economic development, including air pollution, traffic congestion, garbage management, and lack of reliable water and waste water services.

From “Trash to Treasure” - Provide session to encourage students recycling trash into something useful and beneficial. ICE BREAKING session -Amazing Race -Grand Price for amazing race winner and the best “Trash to Treasure”

WEEK 1 Welcoming Party, Soft Skill Learning, introducing participants to Indonesia’s status quo by showing participants different views on Jakarta, and fundraising activities during CFD. WEEK 2 Giving info session and games about recycling, clean lifestyle and environment issues to primary and high school students around Jakarta. Participants will do a campaign and showcase recycled products during CFD. WEEK 3 A continuation from the school activities on week 2

WEEK 4 We invite the participants to enjoy Independence Day Celebration and an excursion trip at participants’ expense outside Jakarta. WEEK 5 Global Village: Cultural showcase, Each Exchange Participants will show their cultural background to public. ENVITOUR : Participants will have a chance to explore Jakarta environment more deeply by visiting several areas in Jakarta that are represent the various environment condition in Jakarta. They are given the opportunity to enjoy, observe, and learn during this trip. At the end of the week, participants will make a website about environment in Jakarta and what they do in the project. WEEK 6 Green Party : Participants will organize a simple party with environmental theme, e.g. creating costumes from recycled stuff. This will be promoted and published to the public through social media and a parade. During the activities, participants remain campaigning about the environmental issues and promoting eco-friendly lifestyle.
