It is the cornerstone of all communication efforts and must be followed carefully to ensure a consistent style and quality of presentation. Every participating institution is responsible for representing or coordinating the use of the brand along with an individual institution’s brand.

Black, white & greyscale

Description Sometimes, often due to production costs, you need another color or only one color of ink is available and so the Logo must be reproduced using only one color. Just use 100% black or 60% blacvk for the background. If you use the first choice logo use 100 % black for all or 60% black for icon and webaddress and 90% black for wordmark.

Construction & clearspace

Description The CinqueCento logo requires serparation from the other elements around it. The space required on all sides is equivalent to the icon of the logo type. It never should be less than that. The logo must always fit into the clearspace area and can not be intervened by other graphical elements which could hinder legibility of the brand.

THE COLOR Use of color for the printed & digital logo. The following palette has been selected for use in CinqueCento communcations. Lighter tints of these colors are also allowed, but the Logotype may only be used with a 100% tint. The primary colors include a Ash rose tone, that embodies the feminine site of the company. The additional colors are bordeaux and lava stone wich harmonized perfectly to the rose and gives the whole a warm, gently and elegant touch.

THE TYPOGRAPHY It is 95% of design Typography is, quite simply, the art and technique of arranging type. It’s central to the skills of a designer and is about much more than making the words legible. Your choice of typeface and how you make it work with your layout, grid, colour scheme, design theme and so on will make the difference between a good, bad and great design. All typefaces are not created equally. Some are fat and wide; some are thin and narrow. So words set in different typefaces can take up a very different amount of space on the page.

Please notice Size is the simplest way to create contrast between different typographic elements in your design. With 5 levels of headlines, the font size generally starts out largest on top (level one; your most important information) and decreases in size as you move down the page.

PRINTED Consistency is the key for all layouts and designs. Paper stock, finish, weight, and brightness will vary a great deal based upon your physical form, budget, and printer availability. In general, paper stock should be a bright white in the weight and finish appropriate to your printed piece. Some types of communications require specific types of paper stock.

DIGITAL Using grid systems for consistency . An effective website design is important to support buyer behaviour and marketing communications objectives for a range of audiences. It should deliver an effective branded customer experience. Websites must be aligned with marketing objectives and continuously monitored and reviewed so that their contribution to the organisation improves. Persuasion approaches should be used to engage customers and convert them to the outcomes required by site owners.

Use on different devices Grid systems are used for creating page layouts through a series of rows and columns that house your content. Here are some examples. The Bootstrap 3 grid system has four tiers of classes: xs (phones), sm (tablets), md (desktops), and lg (larger desktops).

Facebook and Instagram Our Social media applications are an important way to tell our brand story to internal and external stakeholders. The following is a small sample of ways to execute our new brand identity in collateral. The size of Facebook banners should always be 851 x 315 px and the size of the Instagram story should be 1080 x 1920 px.

ADDITIONAL The iconography. The icons are pictograms displayed on the screen or print layout in order to help to navigate through the content. The icon itself is a comprehensible symbol of a software tool, function, or a data file, accessible on the system and is more like a traffic sign than a detailed illustration of the actual entity it represents. The icons are used with the square background or without any background in print and web. They are available in 2 different color combinations.

The checklist 01 The logo Only use approved versions of the logo. Please check that you have respected the minimum size and exclusion zone requirements. The logo should not appear on color backgrounds without being reversed out.

02 Color Please make sure that only your approved colors are used.

03 Typography Use the font Adobe Caslon Pro for all top headings. For body text and smaller headings use font Lato. Both fonts are also available for web.

04 Imagery Use desatured photos with vintage color, grayscale photos or photos with color overlay. Please follow the rules.

04 Print materials Please use the provided grids and approved layouts for all printed products and the stationery.
