We all need a break from our hectic, everyday lives. With the increasingly popular trend of coloring for adults, even those who don’t consider themselves artistic are enjoying the benefits of creatively de-stressing.
Owned and operated by the team of Traci DeForge and Cathie Parmelee, the mission of Get Your Muse On is to encourage people of all ages to color their world creative. GYMO hosts Retreats, Paint Parties, Girls Night Out, Private Paint Parties, and workshops for inspiration and painting techniques.
Add your own artistic touch to these original drawings by Rebecca Cushing, artist and facilitator at Get Your Muse On. Use your favorite colors as you Imagine your toes in the warm sand and ocean breeze playing in your hair.
Traci DeForge is a nationally recognized business strategist and, in addition to Get Your Muse On, owns a boutique consultant firm for entrepreneurs. Traci actually dreamed up Get Your Muse On originally as an email address so she could constantly be reminded “Traci . . . Get YOUR Muse On.” This desperate plea to the universe for any sign encouraging her to be more creative led her to Cathie Parmelee and the business was born.
A study published in Art Therapy: Journal of the American Art Therapy Association found that 45 minutes of creative activity significantly lessens stress in the body, regardless of artistic experience or talent. Let’s get started! Get Your Muse On (GYMO) is all about helping you to color your world creative. We offer paint parties; private events for a girls night out, team building, birthdays, bridal and bachelorette parties, workshops; and retreats for inspiration and painting techniques.
