We ask that you refrain from using the emergency number for general questions and queries which can be answered during normal working hours. • Please ensure you do not leave the property keys on the inside of the front door as these are self-locking when closed. • Please refrain from sitting or lying on indoor furniture with wet swimwear and whilst wearing sun tanning lotions/oil as these could stain and discolour the furniture. • Do not take indoor furniture to use outside, if you rearrange any furniture in the property please place it back to its original position before your departure. • Please switch off all air-condition units, lock all windows and doors and ensure the pool umbrella is closed when you are not in the property. • Included in the price of your weekly rental is 250* units of electricity, which is more than adequate for your stay. This system is in place due to high electricity costs in Cyprus and to encourage guests to switch off lights and air-conditioning when out of the villa. Additional units are charged at 30 cents per unit and will be deducted from your security deposit. *Please see www.imaginevillarentals.com/HelpTerms_and_Conditions,1134,EN For more details on units for each property size.

L I N E N A N D M A I D S E RV I C E Your accommodation has been provided with linen and bath towels for you to use during your stay. We do, however ask that you do not use the towels around the pool or the beach. If your stay is 10 days or over your maid will come to your villa once around the middle of your stay, to complete a light clean and to change your towels. Please remember to leave the keys in the key box if you are going out otherwise the maid will not have access and it will be difficult to reschedule. If your stay is 21 days and over, you will have 2 maid services. The first service will be at the end of the first week and the second at the end of the second week.
C OT S & H I G H C H A I R S If you are traveling with a child and you have requested a cot or a highchair you will find that this has been placed in your villa along with the necessary linen. If you haven’t requested a traveling cot or a high chair and you need one, please let us know and we will deliver one for you as soon as possible. It is recommended to make your request before 16:00 and that will give us time to provide you with one the same day. If you have made a request and you are going out, please remember to leave the key of the property in the key box and the maid will set it up for you.
SW I M M I N G P O O L & GA R D E N The pool and garden will be cleaned and maintained during your stay. Please allow staff access to the villa to ensure that they can continue to maintain the grounds. The pool lights are usually set to turn on at certain times, if they don’t turn on automatically at evenings please let the Guest Relation representative know. Please do not enter the pool house or interfere in any way with the pool mechanism.
SW I M M I N G P O O L SA F E T Y For the safety of all guests, please note the following: l Do not leave children unsupervised in or around the pool at any time. l Please note that there is NO lifeguard on duty at this pool (apartments). l Please wait at least 30 minutes between applying sun lotion and entering the pool as chemicals from the pool may cloud the water and affect the filtration system. l Strictly no diving. l Please always use plastic glasses around the pool area and NOT glass. l Please refrain from running around the pool area as the tiles can be very slippery especially when wet. l

If there is a power cut in the property, this may be as a result of a general power failure in the area or due to many appliances in the property being used at the same time. If this should happen, please switch off air conditioning units and other electrical items that were on at the time of the power failure.
If the bottled gas for the cooker runs out please contact the Guest Relation department, who will arrange for this to be replaced as soon as possible. If this occurs in the late evening, weekends or bank holidays, then there may be a slight delay.
Inside your property, you will have an internal fuse box – check that all the switches are on. If all your switches are on, then please contact our emergency number on: 00 357 99689420 for further assistance. Your villa has the electrical voltage of 240. Cyprus has the same plugs as the UK. Adaptors are required for guests visiting from countries outside Cyprus and UK. You may find adaptors in the villa, if you don’t find any please ask the Guest Relations representative to provide you with, alternatively you can buy them, for a small cost, from any kiosk or supermarket close by. We kindly ask you to switch off lights and appliances that you don’t need to use or when you are going out.
B BQ’ S All of our villas come equipped with a free standing or built in BBQ, which is there for you to use during your holiday. We do not provide, however, charcoal for the BBQ, you can purchase from the closest supermarket or kiosk. Here are a few tips when using the BBQ: • Free standing BBQ should be placed on level ground, in a safe place free from trees, fences or anything which could easily catch fire • Do not leave the BBQ unattended • Make sure your BBQ is entirely extinguished after use • Remember not to place hot ashes into plastic bins • Try to keep the BBQ and grills in a reasonable and useable condition
WAT E R & WAT E R H E AT E R The hot water in the property is heated by solar panels on the roof. During the months of May to October there is sufficient sunlight and heat to provide constant hot water. Occasionally, depending of the number of people staying in the property and during the winter months, you may need to switch on the water heater/immersion heater should the water go cold. The switch for the heater is usually located outside or close to the bathroom and has a timer or a red indicator light. To heat enough water for a full tank takes approximately 40 minutes. Please do not leave the heater switched on for more than 1 hour. If left on, it may result in burning out the element and tripping the electricity. Please note that due to low rainfall Cyprus can periodically experience water shortages and in some areas your mains water may be turned off periodically or water pressure is affected.
Please follow our useful tips for saving water below: • Wash vegetables and fruit in a bowl rather than under a running tap. • When you boil water in saucepans and kettles use only the necessary amount of water required. • Wait until you have a full load for the dishwasher or washing machine. • Do not leave the tap running while you brush your teeth, shave or wash your hands, as this can waste up to 5 litres of water per minute. • A 5-minute shower uses about a third of the water of a bath. • Dripping taps or constant water flowing into the toilet can waste up to 4 litres of water a day – contact the emergency number if this occurs to arrange repairs.
In the unlikely event of a water shortage, please contact the Guest Relations representative, who will inform you on the expected duration of the water cut and if any measures can be taken in the interim.
P LU M B I N G The drainage systems are often not as efficient as the ones in your country, this is because they often consist of small bore pipes, which can result quite easily in blockages. Blockages often cause an inconvenience to you whilst you are on holiday and therefore to prevent this occurring, please do not place any items down the toilet such as: toilet paper roll, nappy wipes or sanitary pads.
AIR CONDITIONING There are air conditioning units throughout the villa. Please ensure that all windows and doors are closed whilst the air-conditioning is switched on otherwise it will not work effectively and will result in overheating of the units. Each air conditioning unit has a wall switch with a red light, usually below the unit. Please switch this on first. The remote controls in your property may not be identical to the one shown but will be similar: • Turn the unit on by pointing the remote towards it and press the orange ON/OFF button. • To adjust the temperature, press the up and down arrows on the TEMP button. • To change the fan speed, press the FAN button repeatedly. • To have the fan swinging up and down press the SWING button. Press it again to stop it in one position. • The MODE button selects which of the functions you require: 1.Cool / 2.Dry / 3. Fan / 4.Heat After each pressing, the operation mode will be changed.

Keep all windows and doors closed – if any are left open it will result in the air conditioning not being able to cool the room. The ideal minimum temperature during the summer months is 24 degrees. Please switch off all units when you are not in the villa and before departing.

You may need to press this more than once before you get a picture. • The sound for the TV can be operated via both the TV and Satellite remote controls, so please check this if you have no sound. • Use the satellite remote control to select desired channels.

NO SMOKING Please note that we have a strict “No Smoking” policy inside the villa, although smoking is permitted outside in the garden. We thank you for your respect in this matter. Please be careful when discarding cigarettes and matches as due to very hot and dry weather, Cyprus has a high fire risk.
C O N S I D E R AT I O N FO R YO U R N E I G H BO R S We want you to enjoy your holiday to the maximum, however please respect the fact that the villa is located within a residential area. We kindly ask that you comply with the following: • No swimming between 23:00 – 07:00 • Please keep the volume of music and TV to a proper level as noise can be disturbing for your neighbors. • Please avoid slamming car and house doors late at night.
P E ST S & I N S EC T S It is not uncommon to find ants and other pests in hot climates, there are however a few things you can do to try and prevent them becoming a nuisance to you during your holiday. Ants often appear when food or drink has been left uncovered. To prevent ants or other pests we recommend that you do not leave food or unwashed crockery out or on the work surfaces. It is recommended that all food is covered, stored away or placed in the fridge. Mosquitoes and insects are attracted to light, therefore if you are outside during dusk or at night it is recommended to turn off the inside lights. Door and windows which are left open, where is no netting is an open invitation for mosquitoes especially at night. Local supermarkets and pharmacies see a variety of different products which act as mosquitoes and insect repellents.
