B
orn and raised in Texas, Tony came to Austin by way of Dallas, where he earned a degree in computer animation from the Art Institute of Dallas. After a number of years working professionally in animation and design, Tony began volunteering at Imagine Art in 2009, and soon transitioned to full-time Studio Director. Competent in pencil, pastel, watercolor, acrylics, oil painting, clay, and wood, as well as digital design,
Tony is currently focusing on painting and ceramics as his main artistic medium. With so many unknowns and things that are out of one’s control in life, Tony says that art is one of the few things he “has,” and that he “has control over,” which he considers as a means of both retirement and selfexpression. For Tony, being creative is almost as natural as breathing. While he loves helping facilitate the work of others, he is still primarily an artist first, himself.

CAROL GONZALES “The philosophy for my artwork is always to be experimental in technique and process, and even in tools and materials.
C
arol Gonzales was born in Lowell, Indiana. Her earliest memories reflect on patterns and design depicted on the wallpaper just outside her crib, and these images filled her dreams far into adulthood. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Edward's University with a Fine Arts degree in August of 2004 and continues to embark on her life as a professional artist. Discovering new ways of doing things has been her challenge as well as an integral part of her creative process. Carol's prolific creations have been recognized by an award created for her by her university's art department, "Best Overall Body of Work", with a special Regents showing. Carol's healthy obsession drives her to recycle other people's scraps and endlessly explore technique and application. "The philosophy for my artwork is always to be experimental in technique and process, and even in tools and materials. It has become important to me to somehow create each piece with something really special and unique about it." Carol has completed 10,000 works including ceramics, oil, acrylic and water color paintings and multi-medium.
