Under Kurt’s leadership, MDS has grown into a publicly traded company on the Junior Market of the Jamaican Stock Exchange. The company is recognized for its commitment to quality and innovation, encapsulated in its mantra, “Business Unusual.”

Boothe emphasizes operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and employee welfare as core values driving MDS’s success. He has overseen significant expansion efforts, including the development of a new 27,000square-foot facility designed to enhance efficiency and support future growth.

These initiatives reflect his vision of creating a robust infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of clients and stakeholders.

In addition to advancing the company’s operations locally, the company is now poised to being operations beyond Jamaica, where his strategic focus remains on maintaining high standards in product and service quality, while fostering a strong organizational culture centered on teamwork and innovation.

With over 40 years of experience as a corporate executive, Mr. Boothe offers an impressive business acumen, financial expertise and an expansive network in the business realm. He is the immediate past Senior Vice President of the Port Authority of Jamaica where he served for 19 years until September 2013, shouldering responsibilities in the areas of Corporate Planning, Finance, Administration, Operations and Information Services.

Prior to this, he was the Group Vice President of the Jamaica Broilers Group of Companies, served on the Board of the Petroleum Company of Jamaica, and was the Chairman of Wincorp Nutritional Holdings in Florida.

Nikeisha Boothe graduated with honours from the University of Miami, where she earned a B.A. in International Marketing and Finance. She furthered her studies at the Mona School of Business (University of the West Indies), where she received an M.B.A. with a concentration in Marketing. Her roles as Marketing Executive at Dunlop Corbin Communications and Brand Manager at Restaurant Associates Limited, have provided her with an in-depth knowledge of advertising, media, production, public relations, event planning, consumer behaviour, budget management and financial marketing.

With over 50 years of passionate and extensive medical experience, Mrs. Boothe has provided invaluable contributions to the Company through her immense product knowledge, first-hand understanding of the health sector, expansive industry network and dedication to patient care.

A registered nurse by profession with training from the University Hospital of the West Indies, Mrs. Boothe has practiced at the National Chest Hospital as Ward Administrator and has served as Inservice Education Officer at the Ministry of Health. She transitioned to the business of health through an 11-year management career at Cari-Med Limited before forming MDS Ltd. in 1999.

Dr. Lawrence has over 50 years of expertise in civil and geotechnical engineering, and he is widely acknowledged as a proficient negotiator. He has made significant contributions to the engineering field and demonstrated a strong dedication to national service. Currently, he serves as the Executive Chairman of Jentech Consultants Ltd and the Chairman of the Financial Board of the Diocese of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.

His previous board positions include Chairman of the Urban Development Corporation, Chairman of the Bauxite & Alumina Trading Company of Jamaica Ltd, and Chairman of the Jamaica Bauxite Mining Company Ltd. He has also held roles as Deputy Chairman of the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica, Deputy Chairman of the National Investment Bank of Jamaica, Director of Montego Bay Freeport Ltd, Director of Jamaica Pegasus Ltd, and Executive Chairman of Air Jamaica Ltd.

Her contagious fervour for the discipline helps to ensure output of the highest standard with an outlook supported by intelligent industry specific applications.

Dr. McDaniel Dickson is a registered pharmacist for over 30 years with a Doctorate of Public Health from the University of London. She is the owner of two thriving pharmacies, a proprietor of a medical clinic and a past author of her weekly “Pharmacy Works” column in the Gleaner - the island’s leading daily news publication.
