Destroy the Waves, not the Ocean Jack Johnson is a Hawaiian singer and songwriter. He was a professional surfer until he had an accident. He broke his wrist, lost his front teeth and received more than 150 stitches to his mouth and forehead. While he was recovering in bed, he spent his time writing songs and playing the guitar. Johnson learned to play the guitar at the age of 14. We asked him, “What are you going to do this year? Are you going to make any new films or write any more songs?” “I’m going to spend my time off in Hawaii surfing. I am also going to travel a lot, but I’m not going to make any new films. I am worried about pollution and I will do some work in Hawaii to help clean some dirty beaches. This is something anyone can do!”
