At a first glance, the home appears to be an exemplary model house, where every piece of its furniture, fixture, and ornament has been painstakingly selected and purposefully put together. Everything is so neat and ordered as if the arrangement of each object is intentional. But when guests roam through every room, they’ll find much more exciting verity. With six bedrooms, one master bedroom on the first level, four children’s rooms and a guest room on the second, the house is an extraordinary family house with a flow that brings everyone closer. The master bedroom is a feast for the eyes. It’s located next to the living room and houses the bedroom, entertainment room, and a spacious bathroom connected to a sheer walkin closet with a cute staircase to even a larger, hidden walk-in closet in the basement. Meanwhile, the first floor boasts a double living room, formal dining room, and walk-in

ocialite lolly rawono has had a great interest in classical European house since a long time ago. She has moved from one house to another and has always opted for the feats and architectures that well reflect such an interest. Her current residence in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, testifies to Lolly’s passion for living life to the fullest; that is, owning a dramatic abode that’s confidently classic. It took less than two years for the homeowner to construct the 1,200-squaremetre residence, and another one year to furnish the house with most of its furniture being shipped all the way from Europe. indonesia tatler

Jasin Tedjakusuma was the man behind the exceptionally sharp concept of the house, and he puts his two cents on the construction process: “Thanks to the great coordination between the conceptor, contractor, and homeowner—the house could be completed in such a short period of time. I think it’s important for these three parties to commit to the deadlines and to avoid unnecessary changes during the process.” The house is three-storey and adapts the English Palladian architectural style. The basement is 490 square metres, the first floor 685, and the second 650. Despite its vastness, the three floors generate a sense of flexibility and privacy throughout, and its designs were all intended to create a family-friendly home that would supposedly last for generations to come.

pantry, plus a butler; celebrating Valentine’s Day this month, Lolly picks “Floral Valentine” as the theme of the house and festoons her dining table with the beautiful flowers as the centrepiece. But what makes the dining ritual so special throughout the month is the porcelain tableware from Y&D by Yulie and Dara Setyohadi with their signature floral stamps. Yulie, the owner of Yulindra Fine Art Gallery, is a famed watercolour artist, while her daughter, Dara, is a painter, who began studying painting at an early age. To date, the mother-daughter collaboration has produced three fabulous Y&D limited porcelain dinnerware collections, each including dinner, coffee, and tea sets that suit both formal and everyday occasions. At one side of the house, there is an al-fresco dining area overlooking a nice and inviting swimming pool. “I have four children, and two of them are now in London; they love to bring and entertain their friends here. We designed the house as comfortable as possible to host an intimate gathering with friends and relatives,” Lolly explains. There is also a poolside bar intended as a smoking area for guests. “I just can’t let anyone smoke inside because it will leave a long-lasting bad odour in the room and on the furniture. That said, we decided to have the smoking corner outside,” says the mother of Altanta Sosrodimulyo, Prawedhi Sosrodimulyo, Anindita Sosrodimulyo, and Krisiphala Sosrodimulyo. The outdoor living porch has two spiralling staircases leading to the second floor designed for entertainment and to accommodate pengajian, an Islamic study group, which Lolly and her close friends regularly hold. The floor also features a billiard room and television room equipped with the latest sound system, three LCD-screen televisions, and comfortable loveseats made of leather. A gym room and the four children’s bedrooms are also on this floor.
