OUR FACILITATORS We have an incredible team of over 35 expert facilitators with many years of leadership and industry experience under their belts. They travel all over the country delivering public programmes and working with individual organisations that have in-company arrangements with us. From a diverse range of backgrounds, the majority of our facilitators have previously been managers, business owners, CEOs, board members and leaders in their own right.

CHRISTINE WATTIE Learning and Leadership Facilitator Christine’s business experience is supported by qualifications in Coaching, Facilitation, Adult Education, Counselling, and Horticultural Science. Christine is a professional member of NZAC and an accredited Human Synergistics practitioner. Christine’s clients have ranged from senior business leaders through to emerging leaders, royalty, ambassadors, students, families and indigenous peoples in Malaysia, Chile, NZ and Australia.

LISA MANDIC Learning and Leadership Facilitator With an extensive management background, Lisa understands the varying needs of different types of managers – one size does not fit all. The skills and systems a middle manager requires are quite different to a senior, or owner manager, or director. Developing the management skills of technically expert managers (typically owner managers and middle managers) is one of Lisa’s specialist areas. Lisa’s business analysis and financial management experience means she understands the dollars, people and system sides of business success. Lisa appreciates the uniqueness of each business and enjoys tailoring solutions to achieve measurable results.

YVONNE TREEN Executive Coach / Facilitator Yvonne has hands-on experience across a range of functions including HR, Quality, Procurement, Business Development and Operations Management, with her General Manager experience spanning over 15 years. Yvonne has in-depth experience in assisting teams and organisations going through high levels of change and in particular, has provided Organisational Development support to national and iwi-based kaupapa Māori organisations.

MURIEL ROAKE Leadership Facilitator Muriel assists companies and individuals to create conditions for high performance. Muriel has operated at Divisional and Group level in large blue chip corporates both within New Zealand and offshore. Her experience encompasses Organisational Development, Change Management, Leadership Development, Capability Building and Talent Pipelining. Some of her key projects include the design of an organisational change plan for a merger; designing company values through interactive staff and lead team workshops; design of team offsite events; career and leadership coaching; the design of an innovative global leadership program, as well as a series of innovative modules to embed a leadership mindset.

PETER SAMMONS Leadership Facilitator

Richard is a very experienced trainer and consultant. His areas of expertise include leadership development, frontline management development, team development, executive and personal development coaching, strategic/business planning and accounting for non-accountants training.

With more than 18 years’ organisational development and training experience Peter is a seasoned facilitator and experienced leader of programmes that create team alignment. Peter’s primary focus is helping teams and individuals develop the skills and attributes they need to achieve tangible organisational results.

Richard has worked in a wide variety of organisations from small to large organisations in New Zealand, Australia and Papua New Guinea. He is an accredited master trainer with the PNG National Training Council.

An advocate of lifelong learning, Peter has a degree in Business Psychology and has undertaken extensive human behavioural training. He has been a member of the NZ Institute of Management’s facilitation team since 1994 and is an NZQA qualified assessor.

RHYS WATSON Project Management Facilitator Rhys has an extensive history in project management and is passionate about delivering successful projects. He is the director of a training and consulting business providing leadership, guidance and support in a variety of sectors, including government, corporate and not for profit. He works with small businesses through to international organisations at all levels.

SUSAN HANDISIDES Facilitator Susan has over 20 years’ experience working with a variety of organisations. Her background spans training, coaching, management consultancy, accountancy, management, personal development training, group facilitation and experience with small businesses. She is a qualified practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® a world-renowned Jungian-based personality tool with exciting and revealing applications in business and personal life.

PHILIP DAY Director – The Mind Factory/ Facilitator Phil Day is an international presenter who specialises in communication skills, is a leader in his profession and an engaging facilitator. His workshops in Asia continue to be met with critical acclaim. There he is described as “a great communicator” and as “someone who can communicate across all levels”. Phil is recognised as a “trainer’s trainer” – the accolade of his peers. He is a master trainer for the Think On Your Feet®, Writing Dynamics™ and Skilled Presenter™ programs throughout Australia-Asia – in other words, he trains the trainers to the highest standards.

2.1 COURSE TIMINGS

Programme dates, times, learning outcomes and facilitators are occasionally subject to change. Should these change, IMNZ will make every effort to inform you of these changes prior to the programme commencement.

• A ll IMNZ Inc. courses start at 9:00am and finish at approximately 4:30pm. All effort will be made to notify participants should these timings change.

Should a programme fail to attract a minimum number of participants, IMNZ reserves the right to cancel the programme. Notification of cancellation will be made at least 10 working days prior to programme commencement.

• A workbook, pen and notepad will be provided to all participants. All attendees to a short course will receive a Certificate of Achievement upon completion of the course

1.1 GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT, REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT • A ll registrations are confirmed in writing before the programme commences • P rogramme fees are payable prior to programme commencement • A ll cancellations, substitutions and transfers must be received in writing (email). 1.2 SUBSTITUTION, CANCELLATION, TRANSFERS AND FAILURE TO ATTEND • S ubstitution of participants is permitted at any stage and will not incur a fee • C ancellations and transfer requests received at least 10 working days prior to programme commencement are permitted with no fee incurred • C ancellations received less than 10 working days prior to programme commencement will not be entitled to a refund, however a minimum refund may be evaluated on a case by case basis • T he exception to the above cancellation policy applies to those participants enrolled in a full qualification (of three months duration or more). These participants are entitled to a refund if they withdraw up to 8 days after the commencement of the qualification. The refund will be equal to the amount paid, less a deduction of 10% or $500, whichever is less • T ransfer requests received between 5 and 9 days prior to programme commencement will incur a fee of 25% of the programme fee • T ransfer requests received less than 5 days prior to programme commencement will incur a fee of 50% of the programme fee

2.2 COURSE MATERIAL

• A ll participants will be notified prior to course commencement if they are required to bring any extra material or resources to the course. 2.3 CATERING • A ll course attendees are provided with a light morning tea, lunch, and a light afternoon tea. Please advise IMNZ by 4:00pm two days prior to the course commencement if you have any special dietary requirements. We cannot guarantee that your dietary requirement will be granted by the caterers if the request is received after this time. 3. STUDENT FEE PROTECTION • T he New Zealand Government requires all private training establishments offering any qualifications registered with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA), to have some form of protection for fees paid to them in advance. These requirements are outlined in the NZQA (www.nzqa.govt.nz) • F ee Protect is a student fee trust account which ensures you receive a refund of the fees (or portion of fees) you pay to IMNZ, if IMNZ is unable to complete the course, for example due to closure, insolvency or loss of NZQA accreditation. 4.
