CONTENTS INSULIN TO ME... SPEEDO TAGGED BIC TRAVEL ‘N STAND THE FOOD WASTE PROJECT THE CUPPA KETTLE LISTERINE TRAVEL BAG
The aim of this project was to design a new product or service that aids an issue that diabetics are faced with. From my research, I discovered the issue that restricts diabetics is travelling and having to over plan for every circumstance they may come across. This was especially noticed in adolescents whom by do not want to stand out for having this disease and not make them different from their peers.
Insulin to me‌ is a system whereby it enables these diabetic young adults to travel more spontaneously without the excessive planning by using Amazon Air Prime. All the user has to do is order the pack from Amazon online or via the app, inputting their NHS number. Then the app tracks the users GPS which is transmitted to the Amazon Air Prime Drones to which they will deliver the pack to the user in 30 minutes. As travelling is seen as a rite of passage by adolescents, enabling diabetics to travel more freely using this system means that individuals will not feel alone and different

This tagged vest was designed as a new indoor water sports game which combines the rules and idea from tag rubgy but within a different environment, the pool. The vest is designed with 2 tags on the vest that when pulled allows water to be absorbs into the pads which will then increase in size, therefore making the game more difficult restricting the players movements. The internal component of the pads are made from a hydromorphic material that increases in size when in contact with water. Water sports such as water polo and water jogging becoming ever more popular, we thought taking an increasingly popular land sport and taking it to water. The target market for this product is boys between the age of 12 and 15 years old. This informed the decision for bright florescent colours as well as the animals of the different teams on the vests. The vest itself is made from a strechy material similar

ADAPTABLE TO EACH CUSTOMER VIA THE PERSONALISATION AREA ON THE SPEEDO WEBSITE
‘ For this brief, the aim was to create a brand extension product for BIC.
The product much carry the same
characteristics as the already existing BIC products, being cheap, functional and simple and fit nicely into their range.
The new ‘Travel ‘ n Stand toothbrush’ is a new toothbrush designed perfectly to for travellers on breaks or travelling. They would be sold in airports and trainstations , to go along with their disposable razors. The stand features allows the user to leave their toothbrush in a more hygienic manner. As BIC already has existing products that are of the everyday use, a toothbrush has been created to fit nicely into their product range. The unique selling point of this toothbrush is that it has a stand incorporated into it where by if a hotel/hostel/B&B doesnt have a pot to put toothbrushes in, the toothbrush can do that for you, therefore gathering less germs than if it was let to sit on the surface. As well as that, this toothbrush features colour fading bristles that after 3 months of use the colour on the bristles fade, indicating the the toothbrush needs to be thrown away and replaced.

THE
FoodAPPWaste
For this project , the brief
was
to design a way to encourage and
support
households,
businesses and or communities to
reduce
food
waste.
The Food Waste Project is an app designed in order to reduce the overall food wastage of a household. It achives this by organising the household and advising the amount of food used and promting when food should be used. With
certain
features
in
the
application, including a portion controller
and
menu-maker,
the user can prepare for meal times better as well as organise what is spent on a food shop. In addation, the app notifies the user when food is going out of date so it isn’t wasted as well as it corrects the amount of food a certain member of the household should be eating based on their ageand gender. With the growing use of technology in today’s society, this app fits in with this as well as aiding an evergrowing issue of increased food waste.
THE
CUPPA KETTLE
The brief for project was to design a long lasting utensil - either kettle, toaster or iron.
THE CUPPA KETTLE is a modular kettle that has an asethetic of being simplistic and sophisicated. By being modular means that if a part breaks, then a new part can be sent to the user to replace. As well as that, the kettle is on a subscription contract, whereby the consumer pays ÂŁ8 a year for 25 years. Under this, if a component breaks or the kettle is faulty over the years of payment, a new part will be sent out to resolve the fault. This way a more luxury and durable kettle , ÂŁ200, will grow with a family and last them a life time, through the modular simplistic design.

mouthwash.
From that, I decieded to aim my product towards the working and travelling business man/woman.
This Listerine wash bag is perfect for somebody travelling on short work breaks away. Instead of carrying too much mouthwash with you, these perfect little pods, located inside the bag, enables the user to have the correct doseage for daily use. Once the pods are empty, the user can refill once back at home for their next trip. The case is designed so the user can take all their neccsities with them aswell as the pods. This includes space for a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss and a large compartment for soap.
Personal Projects DRINKS CABINET
I DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED THIS DRINKS CABINET AS A PART OF A PERSONAL PROJECT. I GAINED AN INSIGHT INTO WOOD WORKING AS WELL AS WORKING IN A LIVE WORKSHOP.
READING CHAIR FOR A SECOND PERSONAL PROJECT, I DESIGNED THIS BESPOKE CHAIR WHICH FEATURES ORANGE ADAPTABLE CHAIR PANELS. THIS ALLOWS IT TO CHANGE FROM USER TO USER FOR MAXIMUM COMFORT.
