The name Kim Kimble has been synonymous with beauty and glamour for over a decade, and today she continues to raise the bar as one of the most acclaimed celebrity hair gurus in the business. Kimble has developed a niche for creating scene-stealing, high concept looks adorned by the likes of Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Shakira, Mary J. Blige, the late Whitney Houston, Sade, Britney Spears, Jada Pinkett Smith, and even the iconic Miss Piggy among others. Kimble’s innovative styles and techniques have been featured internationally in the pages of fashion and beauty’s chicest titles – everyone from Vanity Fair and Allure to InStyle, Essence, Glamour, Elle and Vogue have called on Kimble to create coverworthy hair designs. She’s worked with such renowned fashion photographers as Patrick Demarchelier, Gilles Bensimon, Mario Testino, Annie Leibovitz, and Matthew Jordan Smith, and her work has appeared in national ad campaigns for blue chip brands including Pepsi, Neutrogena, Nike, CoverGirl, McDonald’s and L’Oreal. In addition to her work behind the scenes, Kimble has served as an industry expert in front of the camera on numerous television shows, including “Oprah,” “How Do I Look?” and “Shear Genius,” to name a few. Kimble’s glamorous, dynamic lifestyle behind the scenes will soon take center stage when the busy entrepreneur stars in her own unscripted series on WE tv. “L.A. Hair” premieres in June 2012 and features Kimble with her eccentric family of stylists as they take on the luxurious locks and wild weaves of Los Angeles’ most exclusive clientele.

“TO BE CONFIDENT, IS TO BE BEAUTIFUL” Kim Kimble

Kimble’s quietly confident manner may belie her fierce drive and determination – committed to making an indelible mark on the beauty and entertainment industries, her creative vision, extensive knowledge and authoritative, yet relatable approach have proven to be a winning combination. Having started as a shampoo girl for her mother growing up around the family salon in Los Angeles, Kimble is a third-generation hair stylist who originally aspired to become a fashion designer. Her path changed shortly after attending the famed Bronner Brothers hair show where she was exposed to the amazing styling feaats and showmanship of the hair technicians on stage. In that moment, she knew she wanted to design hair rather than clothes. Kimble focused on pursuing a formal education in hair care, training professionally at both Vidal Sassoon Academy and Dudley Cosmetology University in North Carolina, where it was clear that she possessed an adept artistry. By 1995, Kimble had mastered the art of styling hair and opened her first salon, Phaze II, in Los Angeles. She got her big break when film producer Robert Townsend hired her as key hair stylist on the movie “BAPS” starring Halle Berry. Kimble designed the elaborate hairpieces for the film and captured the attention of Hollywood executives and talent, which led to gigs working with Brandy on the TV movie “Cinderella;” “The Jamie Foxx Show;” “Two Can Play That Game;” and “Austin Powers Goldmember,” where her work with Beyonce became an ongoing collaboration. Kimble serves as primary stylist on the superstar’s movie, television and music projects. Since then, Kimble has beautified stars on such productions as the upcoming feature “Sparkle,” “Dreamgirls,” “Something New,” “Johnson Family Vacation,” “Deliver Us From Eva,” “The Score,” “Ruby’s Bucket of Blood,” “Big Momma’s House” and “Next Friday” to name a few. Whether Kimble is creating a glam look suitable for the red carpet or the runway, a sexy sleek coif, or an era tribute, her seemingly effortless ability to fashion such diverse styles quickly established her reputation in the industry as a style-maker with a timeless and multifaceted appeal. The transition into film and television helped Kimble develop an enviable roster of notable personalities such as Gabrielle Union, Vanessa Williams, Venus and Serena Williams, Kerry Washington, Sanaa Lathan, Garcelle Beauvais, Eve, Keri Hilson and more.

HEALTH IS WEALTH Glorious Asiatic Health is a topic that is often discussed with a level of indifference equal to what to wear to work, or along the lines of checking the weather. But, in my humble opinion, it should be discussed with the same fervor that we discuss politics or religion. Ask yourself a simple question...What can be accomplished without good health? I am certain that the answers will be on a very short list. Health is a gift to yourself. It is more valuable than a house, a car, jewelry, or money. We often use the APPEARANCE of how someone looks to gauge how healthy they are. While this has merit, It can also be deceptive. Good health is internal and external. It has mental and spiritual components that culminate in the physical body. The act of movement is vital to our well being. When the body is in motion, it is counteracting disease, depression, obesity, and a host of other potential ailments. The best form of movement is exercise. Exercise should be a natural part of our life's routine. Finding time to exercise is easier than many people think. There are 7 days in a week. 24 hours in a day and 4 weeks in a month. That comes out to more than 670 hours in a month! Devoting 2-3 hours a week to working out is very doable.

And the effects are priceless for a person's health. It simply becomes a matter of making exercise a priority in one's life. Exercise helps control blood pressure, alleviates stress, tones the body, improves self confidence, and also regulates and strengthens the immune system. As beneficial as exercise is, there is another component that many of us struggle with....that is our DIETS! Many of us are relegated to consuming food that has artificial colors, artificial flavors,g enetically modified ingredients, low vitality, and sugar as its main ingredient. We are buying fruit punch that doesn't have any fruit in it, consuming starches as entire meals, and eating fried foods way too often. The body attempts to digest and use everything that it is fed. However, when it is bombarded with too many toxic meals, it will go into crisis.

This manifests itself in the form of rashes, constipation, headaches, bloating, obesity, diabetes and all types of allergies. An allergy is the body's failure to metabolize something. While there are many allergies that occur from natural food sources, it is much more common to develop allergies from artificial products. To function on an optimum level, the body needs healthy fats, enzymes, vitamins, and minerals daily. When the body does not receive this over an extended period of time, it becomes deficient. Deficiency manifests in ways too numerous to mention in this article. But the most common symptoms are fatigue, slow healing, poor immune system, and unhealthy skin tone. When you are healthy, you feel better. When you feel better, you think better. When you think better, you do better. When you do better, you live better. Let's all live life to the fullest, at our most healthiest! Peace!!!
