The Art of Glassblowing with Jeffrey P’An, Mystic Seaport Museum, 25 Roosevelt Ave in Mystic. In the spirit of our exhibit, Sargent, Whistler, and Venetian Glass: American Artists and the Magic of Murano, renowned artist Jeffrey P’An invites us to his studio to see first-hand how the influence of Venetian Murano glassmaking techniques are still alive today. Registration is required for this exciting behindthe-scenes artist talk and demonstration. Register by Monday, October 31. Members = $25; Non-Members = $35. 11am or 1:30pm

Honor Our Veterans 5K, Sherwood Island Connector, Westport. Join us on Veterans Day for the newest 5K in the state. All abilities are encouraged to be with us at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport. 8:45 a.m. Kids Run for our Heroes Scamper, 9:15 a.m. Honor Our Veterans Run & Walk. $30 Adults 19 and older, $15 18 and younger, Kids Run for our Heroes scamper free. Historical Tours of National Iwo Jima Memorial, National Iwo Jima Memorial, 1 Iwo Jima Way, New Britain. The historical tours take about 20 minutes, and are very informative. You will learn how unique this monument is, and experience the valor, honor and sacrifice that it represents. Some tours are presented by Marines and the sons of Iwo Jima Survivors.
November 18 - January 1, 2023: Old Lyme Deck the Walls, Lyme Art Association, 90 Lyme St., Old Lyme. The Lyme Art Association’s most festive art exhibition and sale is their annual Deck the Walls holiday show. November 18 - December 31: New Haven 28th Annual Fantasy of Lights, Lighthouse Point Park, 2 Lighthouse Rd., New Haven, Fantasy of Lights, presented by Goodwill of Southern New England has become a holiday tradition for thousands of families. This bright and colorful light display illuminates Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven for the holiday season. Sun.-Thu. 5 p.m.9 p.m., Fri.-Sat. 5 p.m.-10 p.m. $10 per passenger vehicle, $25 per mini van (more than 15 people), $50 per full bus.
November 19: Bolton
“Sleigh Bells Ring”, St. Maurice Church, 32 Hebron Rd. This holiday event features a Country Store with homemade jams, pickles, salsa, cookie and muffin mixes, “sweet treats”, teacup “friendship candles”, and many unique gifts for family and friends! Handmade Raggedy Ann dolls, hand-knit items, fresh evergreen baskets, clothes for American Girl dolls, and homemade apple pies and holiday baked goods. Lunch includes homemade clam chowder, baked potatoes, hearty stew, and chili. Handicapped accessible. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. FREE

Santa Lights Up Putnam, Rotary Park, Rotary Park Bandstand, Putnam. Santa comes to Putnam Rotary Park on a big red fire truck to light the Christmas lights and Big Ornament! WINY will broadcast live and provide hot chocolate and Christmas cookies. Friday 4pm

Holiday Dazzle Light Parade, Rotary Park, Rotary Park Bandstand, Putnam. Enjoy this fun holiday tradition through downtown Putnam with floats, music and lights galore to kick-off the holiday season in brilliant style. Sunday 5pm
