December 1: Torrington

Annual Holiday Movie Event, The Oneglia Auditorium, 68 Main Street, Torrington. Kick off the holiday season with the Annual Warner Theatre Holiday Movie Event! Sunday Santa is at 12pm. The Year Without A Santa Claus screening is at 1pm, It’s A Wonderful Life screening is at 5pm FREE
December 1-24: Greeenwich
16th Annual Greenwich Reindeer Festival & Santa’s Workshop presented by Jenny Allen at Compass, 437 North Street, Greenwich. The cherished town tradition continues for the sixteenth consecutive year at this expansive nursery where visitors can have their photo taken with Santa, meet the reindeer and also enjoy Santa’s Workshop . Mondays through Fridays, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sam Bridge is closed on Sundays. The reindeer will depart on Saturday, December 23 but Santa will remain for photos Christmas Eve, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
December 1-22: South Windsor
14th Annual Gingerbread House Festival “Snowed Inn”, Wood Memorial Library & Museum, 738 Main Street, South Windsor. Experience one of the largest gingerbread house festivals in New England as you stroll past fairy tale houses and fantasy trains all covered with bright, colorful candy. Thu.-Fri. 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Sat.-Sun. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Closed Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays
December 1-29: Hartford
Glow Hartford – Holiday Light Festival & Market, Connecticut Convention Center, 100 Columbus Blvd., Hartford. Enjoy interactive light gardens, illuminated structures, seasonal food and drinks, family-friendly activities, a festive holiday market and daily live entertainment. Don’t miss a FREE photo with Santa and ride on our trackless “Glow-comotive” train. See website for ticket pricing.
December 1 & 8: Simsbury
Hot Cocoa w/Santa & Ice Skating, ISCC, 1375 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury. Lace up your skates and enjoy some frosty fun at ISCC with Santa this holiday season. Sunday, December 1st ON ICE 4:00 - 5:00PM, Santa until 5:30PM. Sunday, December 8th ON ICE 3:00 - 4:00PM, Santa until 4:30PM. All Ages - $15.00 admission (includes complementary hot cocoa). Skate Rental - $5.00. Walker Rental - $5.00.
December 5: Norwalk
A Visit with Santa Claus and his Loyal Elves. Norwalk City Hall’s Community Roon. 125 East Ave., Norwalk. Santa will greet all children, naughty or nice, and hear their Christmas wishes before heading back to the North Pole to prepare for his big night. FREE 4pm – 5:30pm
December 5: Wethersfield
Annual Holidays on Main, 200 Main Street, Wethersfield, CT. Holidays on Main will be DJ & emcee provided by Sunshine Entertainment! See Santa and elves along with tree lighting, caroling, horse and carriage rides, and much more! There will be craft and food vendors, fire juggler, auction in the Webb Barn, beer tent, wine tasting, and music. Look out for the local shops and restaurants to have special offers of their own! FREE 5pm-9pm
December 6: Guilford
Firelight Festival, Henry Whitfield State Museum, 248 Old Whitfield Street, Guilford. Enjoy roasted marshmallows, popcorn, hot cocoa, and mulled cider. This night is also the only chance to tour the Whitfield House after dark. Adults $10, seniors and veterans $8, children (6-17) $5, children (5 and under) free. 4 – 8pm

Bethlehem Christmas Town Festival, The Town Green. 36 Main Street South, Bethlehem. This year’s 43rd annual event will run from 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm on Friday, December 6, 2024, and from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 7, 2024
December 14: Cromwell
Town of Cromwell Farmers Market Craft Fair, Cromwell Town Hall. Over 70 Vendors Including some of your favorites from the Famers Market Food Trucks. Santa will be there from 10am to 12 noon. 9am to 2pm FREE
December 15: Middlefield
Kid’s Gingerbread House Decorating Workshop at Lyman Orchards. 32 Reeds Gap Road, Middlefield. Let the kids dive into decorating their very own gingerbread house with candy, sprinkles, and icing! This tasty workshop is a perfect activity to experience the joy of the season! Tickets are $30.00 per person. Ages 7 and Under: $30 per person (due to limited space, one adult can accompany a child ages 7 and under inside the bakery free of charge) Ages 8 and older: $30 per person.

Sensory Friendly Movie Screening of The Grinch, The Nancy Marine Studio Theatre, 68 Main Street, Torrington. Our sensory friendly movie screening is for audience members on the autism spectrum or anyone who might enjoy a more gentle theater experience. 6pm
