Storytime at Slater, Slater Memorial Museum, 108 Crescent St. Norwich. Slater Memorial Museum is excited to partner with Otis Library for our very own storytime hosted at the museum on the first Friday of every month! Children will learn about the art object from museum staff before listening to stories read by an Otis librarian. Surprise dance and song breaks will get everyone involved! First Friday of every month 10:30am-11:30am
November 1-December 29: East Haddam
A Christmas Story: The Musical, The Goodspeed, 6 Main St., East Haddam. Goodspeed unwraps a glittering musical version of the beloved movie classic just in time for the holidays. Tickets start at $30. Wednesdays: 2pm, 7:30pm, Thursdays: 2pm, 7:30pm, Fridays: 8pm, Saturdays: 3pm, 8pm, Sundays: 2pm, 6:30pm
November 2: Orange
Craft Fair, High Plains Community Center, 525 Orange Center Rd., Orange. Back by popular demand! Join us for our 2nd Annual Craft Fair with over 50 vendor booths featuring an array of handcrafted items including jewelry, clothing, artwork, soaps, painted glassware, woodworking and one-of-a-kind items. Perfectly timed for holiday gift-giving! FREE. Sat. 9 a.m.-3 p.m
November 2: Torrington
KidsPlay’s 3rd Annual Pumpkin Chuckin’, KidsPlay Children’s Museum, 61 Main St , Torrington. Bring the whole family for a day jam-packed with pumpkin-flinging fun. Take aim with our giant catapult or design your own mini-launcher to send pumpkins soaring! 10 am to 3 pm. Adults & Children $12 / Under 1 is Free.
November 9-10: Hartford
2024 Open House and Sale, Hartford Artisans Weaving Center,

42 Woodland Street, Hartford. Open House activities: tour our main studio, meet our artisans and try weaving on a loom. Support us by shopping our full selection of one-of-a-kind products, hand-woven by our artisans who are 55 years or older, and people of all ages who are blind or visually impaired. FREE Saturday November 9 from 10am-5pm, Sunday November 10 from 11am-4pm
November 10: Chester
Leah’s 5th Annual Polar Plunge, Cedar Lake, 218 W. Main Street, Chester. Leah’s Polar Plunge began during the Pandemic in 2020, as an idea to help local families struggling with food insecurities. The Plunge grew quickly with support from our community, local Rotaries and Liberty Bank. FREE. 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
November 22: Hartford
Nitro Circus, XL Center, 1 Civic Center Plaza , Hartford. Thrill
One Sports & Entertainment and Round Room Live announce an all-new Nitro Circus tour that will electrify and engage audiences across the US this fall. This jaw-dropping show will thrill fans of all ages with unbelievable stunts, dynamic performances, boundless energy, and non-stop excitement. This tour will make a special stop in Hartford on November 22. 7:30 p.m.
November 23: Bolton
“Sleigh Bells Ring” Christmas Fair, St. Maurice Church , 32
Hebron Road , Bolton. This much anticipated holiday event features a Country Store filled with homemade jams, muffin and cookie mixes, “sweet treats”, teacup “friendship candles” and unique stocking stuffers galore! Homemade apple pies and baked goods! Enjoy lunch! Many crafters on-site! Handicapped accessible. FREE Saturday, November 23 -9:00 AM3:00 PM

November 23: Jewett City
Jewett City Snowflake Parade, Veteran’s Memorial Park, 68 Ashland Street, Jewett City. Families gather along the curbs, bundled up in scarves and mittens, their breath visible in the crisp air. The anticipation is palpable, and children’s eyes sparkle with excitement.

Sunday Chester Market Holiday Edition, Chester Village, Main Street, Chester. Come shop for holiday gifts during Chester’s Holiday Market, Sundays November 24 through December 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
November 24: Stamford
Stamford Downtown Parade Spectacular, Stamford Downtown, The holiday season will officially kick off in Stamford Downtown on November 24, 2024 with the annual Stamford Downtown Parade Spectacular, one of the largest of its kind in the country! 12pm
November 29-December 24: Greenwich
16th Annual Greenwich Reindeer Festival & Santa’s Workshop
Presented by Jenny Allen at Compass, Sam Bridge Nursery & Greenhouses , 437 North Street, Greenwich. The cherished town tradition continues for the sixteenth consecutive year at this expansive nursery where visitors can have their photo taken with Santa, meet the reindeer and also enjoy Santa’s Workshop sponsored by Greenwich Pediatric Dental Group, which provides more space for families. Mondays through Fridays, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sam Bridge is closed on Sundays. The reindeer will depart on Saturday, December 23 but Santa will remain for photos Christmas Eve, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
