March 4: Stamford “Blippi The Musical”, The Palace Theatre, 61 Atlantic St., Stamford. Blippi The Musical brings the energetic and loveable character Blippi off the screen and onto the stage with world-class production, audience engagement, and amazing music. Children from the ages of 2 to 7 years old across the world have quickly taken a liking to Blippi’s charismatic personality and innovative teaching lessons! In the Live show, they will continue to learn about the world around them while singing and dancing along with this one-of-a-kind show. 6pm March 6: Suffield Maple Syrup Making Demonstration, Hilltop Farm, 1616 Mapleton Ave., Suffield. Although maple sugaring may happen once a year, the sweet taste of maple syrup and sugar can be enjoyed year-round. The process of making maple sugar, or sugaring, starts with collecting the maple sap from the trees in the late winter. Once the sap is collected and has been strained, it is time to boil. This is a long process because the boiling sap must be watched to prevent it from boiling over or burning. 11am – 2pm. Free March 12: Southington O’Shenanigans 5K, Kinsmen Brewery, 409 Canal Street, Milldale, CT. The first of four St. Patrick’s Day-themed O’races starts and finishes outside Kinsmen Brewing Company, just steps from the Farmington Canal Heritage 8

Trail. A fast 3.1-mile course through rural roads in Southington and Cheshire brings runners back to the festivities at the brewery and taproom. This party of a road race is not to be missed, costumes are always encouraged! 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m March 12: East Hartland 16th Annual Maple Festival, 339 South Road, East Hartland. Offering guided tours, pancakes and more, live music, children’s activities, and demonstrations. A fun family event just in time for that cabin fever relief. 10am - 4pm March 13: Putnam Courthouse O’Putnam 5K, Downtown Putnam, 121 Main Street. ucky Challenge: Participate in all 4 O’race 5Ks and earn the big bling! New in 2022, options for virtual/ in-person combos to achieve the Lucky Challenge goal. Start with O’Shenanigans, then take on the Courthouse O’Putnam, O’Niantic, and O’Hartford. HMF FitKids: Bring the little leprechauns for the Wee Mile, a ¼ or ½ mile race for kids ages 2-11. 11:30 am – 2pm March 19 - 20: Hebron Hebron Maple Festival, Main Street, Hebron, Have fun, tasting maple, learning from the maple sugar houses, and staying happy and healthy while enjoying the beautiful outdoors in March. ST. PATRICK PARADES

March 12: Hartford 50th Annual Greater Hartford St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Begins on Capitol Ave. Ends at Bushnell Park, Hartford. The parade begins at Capitol Avenue by the State Capitol, takes a left onto Main Street, and left on Asylum Avenue, a left on Ford Street, and then ends by the Memorial Arch. 11am FREE

March 19: Essex Essex Go Bragh Parade, 29 West Ave.,Essex. The Essex Go Bragh (translated as Essex Forever) Irish Parade features an Irish-themed parade down Main Street into the heart of Essex Village.. Over the years Essex go Bragh has been very well received by the community, enjoying many hundreds of visitors each year. Steps off at 10am. FREE

March 13: New London New London St Patrick’s Day Parade, Begins at Shaw Cove, New London. Be Irish for the day by wearing green for the downtown parade. Begins at 1pm FREE

March 20: Greenwich Greenwich St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Begins at Town Hall East Putnam Ave., Greenwich. Features Irish wolfhounds, pipe bands, marching bands, floats, horses, clowns. 2pm, FREE

March 13: New Haven Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Begins at Chapel Street and Ends at Orange Street, New Haven. The Parade begins on Chapel Street at Sherman Avenue and continues on Chapel Street toward the Green. The route turns left onto Church Street, down to Grove Street, and ends on Orange Street. 1:30 pm FREE

March 27: Mystic 17th Annual Mystic Irish Parade, Downtown Mystic, Mystic. Put on your best green gear and take part in celebrating one of the region’s largest parades. Secure your spot along the parade route which starts at Mystic Seaport Museum and extends throughout downtown Mystic to the Mystic Museum of Art. 1pm – 3pm. FREE
