June 1 - 3: Essex

Riverfare 2023, Connecticut River Museum, 67 Main St., Essex. Kickoff Summer and join the Connecticut River Museum for RiverFare 2023, Delight in an evening of delicious food, wines, cocktails, music and more while enjoying the beautiful river views from the Museum’s front lawn. Local restaurants and caterers provide delectable samples of their culinary talents. Enjoy tastings from wineries and breweries of the Connecticut River Valley. 6pm – 9 pm. $75 individual. $150 sponsor.

June 3: Mansfield

18th Annual John E. Jackman Tour de Mansfield, Mansfield Community Center, 10 S. Eagleville Road, Storrs. Enjoy a 20-mile or 40-mile route at your own pace along scenic roads, rural vistas, and historic villages. Both routes begin and end at the Mansfield Community Center in Downtown Storrs. And, both routes offer an optional stop at the Gurleyville Grist Mill, courtesy of Joshua’s Trust. The registration fee covers lunch, snacks, and ride support. June 3: Simsbury

UConn Health Half Marathon 10K & 5K, Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center, 22 Iron Horse Blvd, Simsbury. The long-time, beloved race tradition on Iron Horse features a picturesque two-loop 13.1 mile course along the Farmington River and local farmlands, with 10K and 5K race distance options. The post-race party is highlighted by delicious fresh food served alongside refreshing craft beer. Saturday 7:15 am - 10:45 am

June 3: Milford

Milford United Way Duck Race, Fowler Field and Milford Harbor, 1 Shipyard Lane, Milford. The annual Duck Race is back! Join your neighbors and 10,000 rubber duckies for an afternoon of food and fun. “Adopt” a duck for $5 each and watch it bobble along toward the finish line for a chance to win one of more than 70 prizes. Or try your luck with a “high stakes” duck ($100) for a chance to win $2,500 cash! Tickets are available online at milfordduckrace.com and on the day of the race at the event ticket tables. All proceeds go to benefit the Milford United Way. Sat. 12 p.m.-3 p.m. (race at 1:30 p.m.)

June 3: New Hartford

New Hartford Lions Club – Giant Flea Market, Brodie Park, 580 West Hill Rd., New Hartford. New Hartford Lions Club’s Giant Flea Market will feature: Antiques, Arts & Crafts, Tag Sale item, Food, Free Parking, Live Music. Sat. 8 a.m.-3 p.m. $3 Adult Admission, $10 Early Buying 6:30 a.m.-8 a.m.

June 3 - 4: Litchfield

Litchfield Art Festival 2023: Spring. Bohemian Meadow (Bohemian Pizza & Tacos), 342 Bantam Rd, Litchfield. The Voice of Art is thrilled to invite you to its third annual outdoor juried fine art show, “Litchfield Art Festival 2023.” This show will be a highlight for collectors and residents from the Tri-State region, New England and beyond. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. FREE

June 9 - 12: Essex

2nd Annual CT Sea Music, Essex Village, Main Street, Essex. This family-friendly weekend includes a Symposium on the Music of the Sea, free day- time workshops with local, regional, and international maritime musicians, a family stage, demonstrations of sailor skills, sails on the CT River, a Sunday morning revivalstyle hymn sing, and late night Chantey Sings in the historic Griswold Inn. Friday through Monday, 11am-9pm.

June 9 - 11: Goshen

Goshen Stampede, 116 Old Middle St., Goshen, Family fun events with a lot of action including rodeos and demolition derbys, three-day music festival, truck, pulls, fireworks, petting zoo, great food, vendors and much more. Fri. 4 p.m.-10 p.m., Sat 10 a.m.-10 p.m., Sun. 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Adults (16+) $25, Youth (6-15) $15, children (5 and under) free with a paid adult ticket.

June 10: Danbury

Danbury Railway Museum to Host Steel & Wheels Car Show, Danbury Railway Museum, 120 White Street, Danbury. The Steel & Wheels car show, this year to benefit HOMH — Help Our Military Heroes. There will be music, food, “hit & miss” engines, yard tours, and other surprises. Visitors can also participate in raffles. Including one to win one of the museum’s popular Hands on the Throttle experiences.

June 10: CT Open House Day! State Parks around CT

June 17: Newtown

Rooster Run, Fairfield Hills Campus in Newtown, CT, Keating Farms Avenue, Newtown. On your MARK, Get Set, GO! The Rooster Run/Walk will have a 5K certified course as well as an option for the 10K course. Your little chickens will also have a chance to run in our 100 Yard, Little Chicks Dash. Make it a family event, bring your friends and family and cheer them on as they raise money for a great cause! 7am-11am, $10-$35 per person.

Summer Solstice Trail Run 8 mile, 5 mile, 3 mile. Gay City State Park, 435 North St Hebron. The 8 Mile race is part of the 2023 Blue-Blazed Trail Running Series. Saturday 7:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

June 17: Branford

The Artisan Marketplace at the 39th Annual Branford Festival, Town of Branford Green, 1011 Main St., Branford. Come browse upwards of 100 exhibitor booths featuring original art, crafts, jewelry, decorative home items, apparel, novel cards and gifts, and more. This is a free event for all ages. Sat. 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

June 17: Simsbury

Juneteenth Celebration Hosted by Avon, Canton, Farmington & Simsbury, Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center, 22 Iron Horse Blvd., Simsbury. A free community event hosted by the towns of Simsbury, Avon, Farmington, and Canton and featuring performances by Nekita Waller, Damian Curtis Afro Cuban Jazz Project, Magic Soul Academy, and FriendZWorldMusic. Guests may bring their own picnic lunch and join friends and community members at “The Longest Table” to foster connections, ideas, and relationships. The engagement tent on site will offer one-on-one experiences with the artists! Celebrate culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion!

June 18: Terryville

Terryville BUG-A-Fair Volkswagen Car Show, Terryville Fairgrounds, 171 Town Hill Road, Terryville. The 2023 BUG-A-FAIR Volkswagen Car Show will be held on June 18th from 9am-3pm at the Terryville Fairgrounds. Father’s Day 9am-3pm.

June 21: Old Lyme, New London, Hartford

International music event and you will find musicians young and old to entertain you. You’ll be surprised and delighted by the local talent!

June 23 - 25: Mystic

Wooden Boat show 2023, Mystic Seaport Museum, 75 Greenmanville Ave., Mystic. Hosted in a partnership with WoodenBoat Publications offers something for all wooden boat enthusiasts and maritime history buffs. More than 100 traditional and classic wooden boats of every type will be on display, from handcrafted kayaks to mahogany runabouts, to classic daysailers to schooners. June 23 through 25, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.
