Haunted Tree Trails Mystic, TreeTrails Adventures Mystic, 715 Noank
Ledyard Road, Mystic. Climb with us the month of October in our Haunted TreeTrails forest. We’re open Thursdays through Sundays and Columbus Day Monday. Discover scary night climbs with a DJ spinning all your favorites at our ghoulish Friday Glow Night parties and a special Haunted Howl on Saturday, October 28. Dress up for our costume party and parade finale on Sunday, October 29 at 2 pm, where winners receive free TreeTrails swag, tickets to climb, and lots of surprises! $59 adult; $51 Junior; $12 ages 4-7

59th Annual Old Saybrook Arts & Crafts Festival, Old Saybrook Town Green, 302 Main Street, Old Saybrook. Join us for our 59th Annual Arts & Crafts Festival! Come to the Old Saybrook Town Green for our annual celebration of the arts.
October 1-29: Old Lyme
Wee Faerie Village Fathom Heights, Florence Griswold Museum, 96 Lyme St, Old Lyme. The event will feature nearly 30 sea faerie installations as well as a fun roster of special events to compliment the theme.
Tuesday-Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm. $17 Adults, $15 Seniors (62+), $14 Students, Members Free, Children 12 and under are free.

Light into the Dungeon – A Jack O ’Lantern Experience , Old New-Gate Prison & Copper Mine, 115 Newgate Rd., East Granby. This October, celebrate the Fall season with us as we bring “Light into the Dungeon” , illuminated by over 300 Jack O’ Lanterns. Explore the 100-yard loop of the underground copper mine lit by a display of professionally carved Jack O’ Lanterns. Scarecrow Contest – Newtown Parks and Recreation, Fairfield Hills Campus in Newtown, CT, 8 Simpson Street,, Newtown, ndividuals, families, businesses, sports teams and community organizations are invited to participate in our 4th Annual Scarecrow Contest. Adopt a Fairfield Hills Lamp Post of your choice during the month of October, (first-come, first-served). Build your own unique scarecrow and affix it to your adopted lamp post (you can pick up your number card at our office). You can work on your scarecrow from October 2-25. The community is invited to vote for their favorite scarecrow from October 26-29. The winner will be announced on October 31. 8am8pm; $5 per scarecrow
October 6-21: Windham
Nightmare on Main: All Hallows Eve, Creeping Thru Time, Eastern CT Veterans Community Center, 47 Crescent St, Willimantic. Guided tours are every 20 minutes starting at 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm. You must purchase tickets in advance at www.AmericaMuseum.org. The event is rain or shine. Food and beverages will be available to purchase. The cost is $15 per person.
October 7: Norwich
Norwich Founders Day, Leffingwell House Museum, 348 Washington St., Norwich, Discover who the 35 Founders of Norwich, participate in an “I Spy a Founder” hunt for memorabilia from the Founding families during a house tour. See an original home of a founding family, and see how it grew. See the sword of Founder Major John Mason on loan from the New London County Historical Society. All founder descendants get a special name tag! 11 a.m.-3 p.m, $8
