April 1 – May 8: Higganum Dancing Daffodils, Halfinger Farms, 489 Candlewood Hill Rd., Higganum. Spend a day outside with family and friends picking your own daffodils, weather dependent. April 2: Woodstock Acorn Adventure For Kids – Eagle Chicks, Roseland Park, 205 Roseland Park Rd.,Woodstock. Join the Last Green Valley and Horizon Wings to learn about Bald Eagles and their chicks. 10 am – noon. FREE April 2: Mystic Daffodil Day, Denison Homestead Museum, 120 Pequotsepos Rd., Mystic, Come see thousands of blooming daffodils and enjoy the day’s activities, including open-hearth cooking in the Colonial kitchen, tours of the historic 302-year-old Denison manor house, a children’s craft activity, and complimentary cookies and lemonade. Noon – 4pm April 6: Stamford “Paddington Gets in a Jam”, The Palace Theatre, 61 Atlantic St., Stamford. Watch Paddington, the famous, accident-prone bear, as he takes to the stage in this fun-filled comedy. Will Paddington be able to fix everything before Mr. Curry and his great aunt arrive home? 6:30 p.m., $25-$50. April 7: Norwalk Make-A-Wish Connecticut Presents: Taste of Wishes, 401 Westport Ave., Norwalk , This incredible once-in-a-lifetime evening, sponsored by Marcia Selden Catering, will feature local celebrity chefs cooking alongside Connecticut wish kids to raise money to make a life-changing wish come true. Delicious food will be prepared by an amazing lineup of Connecticut celebrity chefs. 6 p.m.-9 p.m.$75 8

Curl up under the “stars” for a movie night. Enjoy a special showing of the movie Inside Out while snacking on free popcorn! Exhibits will be open from 5 p.m.-6 p.m.; the movie will begin at 6 p.m. This program is great for children under the age of 12. 6 p.m.-8 p.m., $5 per family. April 9: Groton Seal Watch Cruise with Project Oceanology, 1084 Shennecossett Rd. #1, Groton. Explore the grounds and the vernal pool, participate in outdoor activities, enjoy food from a food truck, visit the daffodils, and celebrate the beginning of Spring. Noon -3pm. FREE April 24: New Haven 48th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival, Wooster Square, New Haven. Featuring live musical entertainment; dedicated Children’s Area with arts and crafts, pet-related interest area and a great range of food and display tables. Noon – 4:30pm / FREE April 30: North Haven Connecticut Sheep, Wool, & Fiber Festival, North Haven Fairgrounds, 290 Washington St.,Route 5, North Haven.
