July 4th Reading of the Declaration of Independence on the Steps of HoytBarnum. Stamford History Center, 1508 High Ridge Rd., Stamford. SHC’s Rick Petersen will once again recreate the atmosphere of 1776 Stamford in proclaiming the words of the Declaration from the steps of Stamford’s oldest dwelling, the Hoyt-Barnum House! He is also accompanied by Frederick Douglas and Elizabeth Cady-Stanton to give their history-making speeches. Kick off your 4th of July in the proper spirit! 10am – 12pm FREE
