June 2: New London Eat in the Street – The Golden Ticket, Downtown New London. This is a chocolate / Candy themed night. If you spend $25 at a participating business, you will receive a chocolate bar. If your chocolate bar happens to have a golden ticket, you can turn it in for a gift certificate to local businesses. All the golden tickets will go into a drawing for a limo ride to Foxwoods for an overnight stay and dinner for two. Bank Street will be closed to traffic from 4pm – 10pm each night of the event. Thursday 6 p.m.-9 p.m June 2: Cos Cob Music on the Great Lawn: Merlin, Greenwich Historical Society, 47 Strickland road, Cos Cob. Gather friends, bring your picnic set up and enjoy an evening at the Greenwich Historical Society with The Merlin Band! Merlin is a Greenwich, Connecticut based band playing rock classics from past and present. Get ready to rock! Purchase tickets on the Greenwich Historical Society website. June 3-5: Norwich NAC’s Children’s Theater Snow White, Donald L. Oat Theater at Norwich Arts Center, 62 Broadway, Norwich, CT. A NORWICH ARTS CENTER CHILDREN’S THEATER PRODUCTION of SNOW WHITE. A Children’s Play by Marjorie Sokoloff. An updated version of the classic story unveils the villain’s perspective — from her tragic childhood to her quest for revenge. Friday 7 p.m., Sat. 2 p.m., Sun. 2 p.m. Adults: $15; Seniors: $14; Kids & NAC Members: $13. June 4: Simsbury UConn Health Half Marathon, 10K & 5K, Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center, 22 Iron Horse Blvd., Simsbury, CT. The long-time, beloved race tradition on Iron Horse is moving to Saturday! Enjoy the picturesque two-loop 13.1-mile course along the Farmington River and local farmlands, with 10K and 5K race distance options. There is also an HMF FitKids Run which will take place on the soccer fields inside the Simsbury Performing Arts Center. 7:15 a.m.-10:45 a.m.. June 4: Essex Day Out with Thomas 2022- Dream Big, Essex Steam Train and Riverboat, 1 Railroad Ave, Essex. Toot toot!!! Thomas the Tank Engine, his buddy Percy, and Sir Topham Hatt are pulling into Essex Station for “The Dream Big Tour”! We encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance,we anticipate to sell out in advance. Arrive early to enjoy all the included activities! For current ticket status information, follow our Facebook page or continue to “purchase tickets.” Thomas & Friends will be here on May 28, 29 & June 4, 5 with departure times every 45 minutes from 9:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. Passengers select a departure time when purchasing a ticket (ride is approx. 25 minutes), but can enjoy fun-filled family activities all day long! June 4: Guilford Little Folks Fair, Gilford Green, Park Street, Broad Street, Whitfield Street. Bring the family to the annual Little Folks Fair on the Guilford Green on June 4th, 11-4, rain or shine! Since 1956 Community Nursery School has hosted the “Little Folks Fair” on the historic Guilford Green. The fair transforms the Green into a playground for children, creating memories that will last a lifetime. The Little Folks Fair is the main fundraising event for CNS, with parents organizing, creating and running the day-long event. Join us this year for donkey rides, bouncing, games, trackless train ride, food trucks and entertainment. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Pre-sale: $3.00 Adults and Kids, Day of Event: $4.00, Kids 2-12 $3.00, Kids under 2 FREE June 4: Hartford Free First Saturday Family Program: Happy Birthday Frederick Law Olmsted! The Connecticut Historical Society, 1 Elizabeth St., Hartford. Celebrate landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted’s 200th birthday at the CHS! Children will explore Olmsted’s Connecticut creations, and then decorate a flower pot, plant a marigold with special guests from Elizabeth Conservatory, and design their own landscape. 11 a.m.-2 p.m, FREE June 8: Middlefield Outdoor Storytime with Levi E. Coe Library, Lyman Orchards Apple Barrel Patio, 32 Reeds Gap Road, Middlefield. Join us on the Apple Barrel Farm Market patio for an Outdoor Storytime presented by Levi Coe Library! This event is free and open to the public. No advance registration is required. 10:30, FREE June 11: Naugatuck St. Michael’s Naugatuck Artisan Fair, 21 Maple St., Naugatuck. Join us on the Naugatuck Green for our Annual St. Michael’s Naugatuck Artisan Fair with a large variety of handcrafted artisans. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. FREE June 11: Ct CT Open House Day! June 12: Stamford Your First Mud Run, Italian Center of Stamford, 1620 Newfield Ave., Stamford. Your First Mud Run is the best race in the country for families and first-timers. Races are challenging but can still be done by almost anyone. We are “A Mud Run for EVERYONE!” We are the first Mud Run/Obstacle course in the country designed so that kids as young as five can run side by side with their parents on the same course. June 18: Newtown 5K/10K Rooster Run, Fairfield Hills Campus, Keating Farms Avenue, Newtown. 48TH ANNUAL 5K ROOSTER RUN (AGES 5 & UP) - On your MARK, Get Set, GO! The Rooster Run/Walk will have a 5K certified course as well as an option for the 10K course. Your little chickens will also have a chance to run in our 100 Yard, Little Chicks Dash. Make it a family event, bring your friends and family and cheer them on as they raise money for a great cause! Proceeds from this event will benefit the Newtown Scholarship Association. Race Start is at 8 a.m June 19:

June 19: Mystic 2nd Annual St. Edmund’s Pipes & Drums Flag Day Tattoo, Enders Island, 1 Enders Island, Mystic. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to Enders Island as this normally quiet island comes to life with the music of pipers and drummers performing in the gardens, surrounded by ocean views. A Tattoo is a traditional gathering of Scottish pipes and drums. Our own St. Edmund’s Pipes and Drums will perform, using traditional Scottish Highland bagpipes and through the power and beauty of their music, provide an opportunity for people to share in an expression of joy. 12 p.m.-5 p.m, Individuals $30, family $70, participating musicians $20. June 25: Norwich Rose Arts Festival, Grassy Park by Day, City Streets by Night, Chelsea Parade & Historic Downtown, Norwich. Rose Arts is a movement using interaction, community involvement,emerging music, and public art to motivate. Identified by The Hartford Courant as New England’s largest free music festival, Rose Arts is not to be missed. Featuring family friendly interactive activities, exciting art installations, and over seventy five performances spanning the day and evening programs. 10 a.m.-2 a.m. FREE June 25: Hebron 2022 Hebron Lions Fireworks & Touch A Truck, Hebron Lions Fairgrounds. 347 Gilead St.,Hebron, Come and experience the 2022 Hebron fireworks. This year there will be so much more than fireworks, so bring your family! Activities include live music, children’s activities, food trucks and Touch A Truck event.
