5th Annual Reading of the Declaration of Independence on the Steps of Hoyt-Barnum, 1508 High Ridge Rd., Stamford. SHC’s Rick Petersen will once again recreate the atmosphere of 1776 Stamford in proclaiming the words of the Declaration from the steps of Stamford’s oldest dwelling, the Hoyt-Barnum House! FREE 10am – 12pm
July 4: Willamantic
39th Annual Boom Box Parade, Downtown, Jillson Square & Memorial Park, Main Street, Willimantic. Come participate in or watch to become a part of the tradition! FREE Formation - 9:00 A.M., Step Off11:00 A.M.

2024 Celebrate America! Simsbury Performing Arts Center, 933 Hopmeadow Street Simsbury. The HSO presents its annual “Celebrate America!” concert, led by the esteemed Hartford Symphony Orchestra music director Carolyn Kuan. Concert: 7:30 PM, Gates Open: 6 PM. Single Tickets: $5 (child) to $27.50 (adult); Table Seats: $50.
July 6-7: Niantic
Niantic Lions Annual Arts & Craft Show and Food Truck Court. East Lyme Town Hall and Green, 108 Pennsylvania Ave., Route 161, Niantic. One of New England’s finest artists and crafters displaying their creations of juried fine arts and crafts. As well as a Food Court featuring a variety of food trucks serving delectable summer delights.
July 10-August 16: Norwich
Rock the Docks, Howard Park & Norwichtown Green, Elm Ave. & East Town St. Norwich. These free community events are funded by local businesses and sponsors, and are taking place on Wednesdays and Fridays from July to August.
