Exhibitor Information Exhibitors Departments of Interest Exhibitors Ab Initio Software www.abinitio.com/en Stand No 22 Ab Initio provides a data processing software platform that our customers and consultants use to build applications that tackle their largest and most complex data processing challenges. These applications are some of the largest operational and business intelligence systems in the world--mission critical systems with demanding performance requirements. These might be processing huge amounts of data (Petabytes of data are not uncommon); low latency real-time applications; applications that dynamically reconfigure themselves based on the data; applications that scale as data volumes increase --- you get the idea. Ab Initio sells through word-of-mouth, so you are unlikely to have heard of us, but our customers are some of the largest companies in the world and cover a wide range of industries including banking, retail, telecommunications, credit card processing, transportation, healthcare, insurance and high tech. Ab Initio was founded in 1995 and has been growing ever since. Our headquarters are in Boston, Massachusetts and we have offices all around the world. We have positions open for Internal Consultants. We are looking for the right candidates, and there is no hard limit on the number of positions, and no closing date on those positions. Internal Consultants are the bridge between customers and the software developers, field consultants, and account managers. They are technically-adept, selfmotivated individuals who want to work in a customerfacing role on practical problems. The roles involves teaching customers how to do things right from the beginning and includes programming and architecture advice, performance tuning, training, and debugging problems. This is far beyond the usual help desk role and can often include both low-level analysis of other software, including operating systems; and high-level analysis of business requirements. The role is office-based at our newly-refurbished offices in Weybridge. We are looking for PhD and postdoc candidates from STEM subjects. Most of our Internal Consultants have Masters degrees and/or PhDs from top universities. Industrial experience is also taken into account for candidates without a higher degree. We place great importance on having a problem-solving mentality.

We expect candidates to have excelled in what they have done so far---we are looking for candidates who show potential to learn more. There is no requirement for a background in IT/software. Recruiting: Chemistry | Computing | Electrical & Electronic Engineering | Materials | Mathematics | Physics
