An opportunity has arisen for a PT intern to work on the innovative and exciting biomedical research at RAFT institute. RAFT is a medical research charity that focuses on tissue reconstruction after trauma. The intern will be working with scientists and clinicians on developing biomaterials for breast, bone, and skin. This internship will help you gain experience in a wide range of laboratory techniques including tissue culture and confocal microscopy as well as help you get an understanding of the role of research in clinical translation. It would also help you gain clarity if you want to pursue a PhD next or want to have a career in biomedical research. The working hours will be flexible, however, a minimum requirement of 18 hours a week would be required.

We also have a summer internship programme which offers the chance to work in one of our teams for eight weeks. As well as gaining experience in a specific team, interns will also work on a Wellcomewide project and have the chance to develop a range of skills. Our summer internship programme is for first, second and penultimate year undergraduate students.
