Amanda made a tremendous impact in her first year - her talent and dedication to the sport is inspirational. She has become the top goal scorer and top assister this season! Not forgetting her performance in the phenomenal match at the LSE Varsity, scoring 2 goals towards the 5-0 win!
Coach of the Year
Ashley Brandon, Women’s Rugby
Ashley has had a tremendous impact on the club; her passion and enthusiasm for rugby has created such a welcoming environment. Whatever the result, her attitude is positive, encouraging everyone to play as a team’and have fun. Her coaching has proven very successful with the team winning their BUCS League and the South-Eastern Conference Cup.
Participation
Berenice Bulteel, Imperial Leagues Basketball (award collected on behalf of Berenice)
Berenice’s determination to create recreational sporting opportunities has allowed 90+ students the opportunity to play weekly social matches. Her contribution to Imperial Leagues increased the membership in the club and encouraged other students to participate in sport too.
Sports Club Member of the Year
James Krammer, Lacrosse
James has been integral to the club’s sustainability by organising friendlies for new and inexperienced members to improve their skill level and match experience. He also gained a refereeing qualification this year and officiated BUCS matches to ensure the club didn’t incur fines. He has been a great leader in the 1st team both on and off the pitch.
Sportswoman of the Year
Lizzie Witt, Imperial College Boat Club (award collected on behalf of Lizzie)
Lizzie is a true talent. Her work rate, commitment and dedication to the sport is inspirational. She brought home 2 BUCS medals for the club and has been selected in the U23 GB programme, and even achieved a silver medal at the World Rowing U23 Championships.
Sportsman of the Year
Joaquin Bello, Beach Volleyball
Joaquin is currently an international athlete for England and GB, with over 250 Caps to his name. He has achieved 3 British Championship titles, 4 World Tour medals, and won a bronze medal last summer at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. He is now inducted in Volleyball England’s Hall of Fame, at the age of 22!

Lucinda Douse, Imperial College Boat Club
Since her first year, Lucinda has shown unwavering commitment to building a thriving, welcoming and wellmanaged club through multiple committee roles. She has driven a 175% increase in female membership and is a true leader who provides guidance and expertise. She’s an integral part of the club and an asset to the sport community.

Rugby Women’s 1s
The Rugby Women’s 1s team culture is built on togetherness and support for one another. Even with a condensed and demanding fixture schedule post-Christmas, the team had an exceptional league season finishing first in their division and gaining promotion for next year. They were also crowned South Eastern Conference Cup Champions!
Student Club of the Year Dodgeball
An undefeated BUCS season plus 5 Gold medals and 3 Silver medals in the Open University Tournament has seen the Dodgeball Club become the most successful club in the country in their sport. On top of this, they have put huge focus onto the participation side of the club and were one of the first clubs to achieve an Imperial Athletes Badge.
