Ses Salines

Ein Ort, geprägt von der Salzgewinnung aus dem Meer. Das zeigt sich auch an der Vegetation aus Grün, spanischem Rohr und typischen Salzpflanzen. Neben aufgetürmten Salzbergen der ansässigen Unternehmen findet man auch riesige natürliche Becken, aus denen am Ende des Sommers das weiße Gold des Meeres gewonnen wird. Per Hand wird die zarte Salzkruste geschöpft, die als Flor de Sal in den Handel kommt. Dass es in diesem Bereich Mallorcas auch grünt und blüht, zeigt Botanicactus. Auf dem rund 10.000 qm großen Gelände finden Besucher eine beeindruckende Vielfalt an Kakteen und Pflanzen.

Cala d’Or

Wer den Ferienort mit seinen kleinen, verwinkelten Gassen und den strahlend weißen Häusern im ibizenkischen Stil besucht, erkennt schnell, warum er den Namen „Goldene Bucht“ trägt. Wer auf der Suche nach idyllischen Stränden ist, wird auch in der Umgebung schnell fündig: Cala Egos, Cala Serena oder Cala Mondragó sind nur einige der nahegelegenen und bekannten Ausflugsziele zum Sonnen, Schnorcheln oder Tauchen.

Ses Salines es un lugar reconocido por la extracción de sal del agua de mar. La sólida capa de sal de la superficie se extrae a mano y se comercializa como “Flor de Sal”. Para ver como en esta región de Mallorca la vegetación también crece y florece, nada mejor que una visita a Botanicactus: un área de unos 10.000 m2 donde encontrará una impresionante variedad de cactus y plantas, tanto autóctonos como de diferentes partes del mundo, que se cuidan y cultivan aquí con mucho cariño.

ES TRENC Es Trenc, einer der wohl bekanntesten und, trotz vieler Urlauber im Sommer, schönsten Strände der Insel. Er liegt zwischen Sa Ràpita und Colònia de Sant Jordi. Einige Bereiche sind auch für FKKFreunde geöffnet. Es Trenc, located between Sa Rápita and Colònia de Sant Jordí, is one of the island’s best known beaches and, despite the numerous visitors in summer, is also one of the most beautiful. In some areas of the beach, nudism is allowed. The turquoise sea and the dunes of white, fine sand are truly impressive. Der Wochenmarkt findet hier mittwochs und freitags im Zentrum des Ortes statt. Einmal hier, lohnt sich ein Besuch des alten Rathauses und der Kirche Sant Miquel aus dem 18. Jahrhundert.

Berg Randa

Hier befinden sich gleich drei Heiligtümer. Der herrliche Rundumblick vom obersten Kloster, dem Santuari de Nostra Senyora de Cura, entschädigt für die drei Kilometer lange, kurvenreiche Serpentinenstraße. Der katalanische Philosoph und Theologe Ramón Llull lebte und arbeitete insgesamt zehn Jahre auf dem Berg Randa.

Randa

Mount Randa has three sanctuaries. The wonderful panoramic views from the highest sanctuary, “Santuari de Nostra Senyora de Cura”, are worth the effort of ascending the 3 km winding road that leads to the summit. The Mallorcan philosopher and theologian Ramón Llull lived and worked on Mount Randa for some ten years. It was here that he learned Arabic and founded an Arabic and Latin school for the education of missionaries.

Cala Pi

La pintoresca cala, que recuerda a un fiordo, es ideal para tomar un descanso y darse un chapuzón.

Llucmajor

Todos los miércoles y viernes hay mercado en el centro del pueblo. Y estando allí, vale la pena visitar el antiguo Ayuntamiento y la Iglesia de Sant Miquel del siglo XVIII.

Aquí encontramos ni más ni menos que tres santuarios. La maravillosa vista panorámica desde el santuario más alto, el Santuari de Nostra Senyora de Cura, recompensa el esfuerzo en recorrer los tres kilómetros de carretera que suben en serpentina. El filósofo y teólogo mallorquín Ramón Llull vivió y trabajó en el macizo de Randa unos diez años. Aquí aprendió árabe y fundó una escuela de árabe y latín para la formación de misionarios.

Vom Ort Randa fahren Sie über die Ma5017 nach Montuïri. Einer der ältesten Orte Mallorcas. Die Häuser reihen sich dicht an dicht an einen Hügel. Geprägt wurde Montuïri nicht zuletzt durch sein Mühlenviertel Es Molinar, das besichtigt werden kann. Über die Schnellstraße Ma-15 geht es weiter in Richtung Manacor.

Manacor

Die zweitgrößte Stadt der Insel gilt als Möbelzentrum. Noch heute finden sich entlang der Hauptstraße zahlreiche Fabriken und Geschäfte mit Einrichtungsideen, aber auch Dekoartikeln und Tonwaren. Wer sich für Schmuck begeistert, sollte unbedingt die Perlenmanufaktur Majorica besuchen. In Porto Cristo präsentiert sich das „House of Majorica“ mit innovativer Architektur und virtuellen Produktvorstellungen.

One of Mallorca’s oldest villages; where the houses are clustered together on the hillside. One of the most characteristic parts of Montuïri is the so called windmill quarter, Es Molinar, which is well worth a visit. Now let’s take the Ma-15 highway towards Manacor.

Manacor

Mallorca‘s second largest city is also the furniture capital of the island. On the main road you’ll find numerous factories and shops that not only offer home & decor ideas, but also decorative articles and pottery. If you love jewellery, then the Majorica pearl factory is a must, as is the House of Majorica in Porto Cristo by the Caves of Drach – a totally new store concept, including an exciting virtual zone on their brand and jewels.

Una de las poblaciones más antiguas de Mallorca, donde las casas están agrupadas juntas en la ladera de una colina. Una de las zonas más características del pueblo es el barrio de los molinos, Es Molinar, que se puede visitar. Por la autovía Ma-15 seguimos en dirección Manacor.

La segunda ciudad más grande de la isla también se considera la capital del mueble. Aus dem einst idyllischen Dorf ist mittlerweile ein touristisches Zentrum geworden. Das hat dem Flair allerdings nicht geschadet. Hier treffen sich Fans aus Kultur, Geschichte und Musik. Ziel ist vor allem die Kartause von Valldemossa, in der Komponist Frédéric Chopin und Autorin George Sand im 19. Jahrhundert den legendären und kalten

„Winter auf Mallorca“ verbrachten. Chopin soll angesichts des Wetters seine berühmte Regentropfen-Prélude geschaffen haben. Die Wohnzelle der beiden Künstler sowie der Garten der Kartause können besichtigt werden. Valldemossa hat aber auch einiges an Geschäften und Lokalen zu bieten. Spezialität ist die typische „Coca de patatas“, die es nur in Valldemossa so gut geben soll.

Valldemossa

This idyllic village has become one of the most popular spots of the Tramuntana mountain range. Even so, Valldemossa still retains its unique atmosphere and is a must for culture, history and music lovers. The highlight: the former Carthusian monastery “Cartuja de Valldemossa”, where composer Frédéric Chopin and writer George Sand spent their legendary, cold “Winter in Mallorca” in the 19th C. Allegedly, Chopin was inspired by the bad weather when he created his famous Raindrop Prelude. You can still visit the cell where both artists stayed, as well as the charterhouse gardens. Valldemossa also has numerous shops, cafés and restaurants. Its specialty: the typical ”Coca de patata“, which is said to be the best on the island.

No por ello, ha afectado al ambiente de Valldemossa que sigue atrayendo a los amantes de la cultura, la historia y la música. La celda donde habitaron ambos artistas así como el jardín de la Cartuja están abiertos al público. Pero Valldemossa también ofrece una gran variedad de tiendas y locales. Su especialidad es la típica coca de patata que tiene fama de ser la mejor de la isla.

Das Künstlerdorf mit kleinen Läden, großer Gastronomie und renommierten Hotels. Das pittoreske Ambiente zieht bis heute viele Prominente in seinen Bann. Lohnenswert der Fußweg zur Kirche hoch oben über dem Ort: Der Rundblick von hier aus ist phantastisch. Im Sommer lockt die kleine Bucht mit einer Erfrischung zu Wasser und – im dortigen Lokal – zu Lande. Über die Küstenstraße Ma-10 geht es über eine wunderschöne, kurvenreiche Strecke weiter nach Sóller.

Deià

Deià is an artists’ village renowned for its selection of tiny shops, fantastic cuisine and charming hotels. Its picturesque atmosphere still attracts the presence of many celebrities. An excursion up the footpath to the church, situated high above the village, is well worth the effort; the panoramic views are fantastic. In summer we recommend a visit to its small cove for a refreshing dip – and a cool drink in the local bar. Let’s continue along the Ma-10, winding coastal road and head for Sóller.

Deià es conocido por ser un pueblo de artistas con pequeñas tiendas, una gran oferta gastronómica y hoteles de renombre. Su ambiente pintoresco sigue atrayendo y embrujando a muchos famosos. Vale la pena subir a pie el camino que lleva a la iglesia en lo alto del pueblo: la vista panorámica es fantástica. Y en verano recomendamos bajar a la pequeña cala para refrescarse en el mar y también en tierra, en el local que se encuentra allí mismo. Der berühmte Ort liegt im Orangental und ist Ziel des „Roten Blitz“, jener legendären Schienenverbindung, die seit über 100 Jahren per Schmalspurbahn Palma mit „der anderen Seite“ der Serra de Tramuntana verbindet. Anfangs wurde die Gegend rund um Sóller auch Tal des Goldes genannt, nicht jedoch aufgrund der Z itrusfrüchte, die hier von besonderer Qualität sein sollen, sondern wegen der vielen Olivenbäume und dem daraus gewonnenen Öl. Der einstige Reichtum der Bewohner zeigt die prachtvolle Architektur der Häuser.

This famous village is located in the “orange valley“ and is the destination of the “Red Flash”, the legendary narrow-gauge railway that has connected Palma with the other side of the Tramuntana mountains for over 100 years. Formerly, the region of Sóller was also called the golden valley, not due to its high-quality citrus fruits, but for its numerous olive groves and the olive oil. A proof of the former wealth of its citizens is the magnificent architecture of their houses.

Once the traditional stop-off for travelling merchants and farmers travelling to the north of the island, this village is still renowned for its hospitality. All 7 members of the ASSOCIACIÓ DE CELLERS DE SANTA MARIA DEL CAMÍ produce quality wines with protected geographical indication or denomination of origin of Binissalem. Local and international varieties of grapes are used in the making of these wines, renowned for their marked “terroir” impact. Santa Maria del Camí produces 25% of the wine made on

Es werden sowohl heimische als auch internationale Rebsorten verarbeitet und Weine mit ausgeprägter Präsenz an „terroir“ hergestellt. Fast 25 % des gesamten Weins von Mallorca wird in Santa Maria produziert. Immer am letzten Samstag im November findet die Weinmesse FIRA DEL VI NOVELL statt, auf der die Marke VINOVELL ihre neuen Weine präsentiert – mittlerweile einer der wichtigsten Wein-Events Mallorcas. Aber auch der beliebte Wochenmarkt in Santa Maria zieht immer wieder sonntags Einheimische und Touristen in den Ort. Hier kann man wunderbar stöbern und Neues entdecken. Typische Inselprodukte gibt es ebenso wie nützliche Haushaltswaren, Kleintiere, Kleidung und natürlich Obst, Gemüse, Käse und Wurst.

La ASSOCIACIÓ DE CELLERS DE SANTA MARIA DEL CAMÍ, acoge 7 bodegas del municipio, que elaboran vino con Indicación Geográfica Protegida Mallorca o con Denominación de Origen Binissalem. Se emplean variedades autóctonas e internacionales de uva en la producción de esos vinos, reconocidos por una marcada presencia del “terroir”. Santa Maria produce casi el 25 % del vino elaborado en Mallorca. Cada año, la marca VINOVELL presenta sus nuevos vinos, el último sábado de noviembre, en la FIRA DEL VI NOVELL, uno de los acontecimientos vinícolas más importantes del año. Bodega Ribas Die alte Weinkellerei befindet sich in einem denkmalgeschützten Herrenhaus aus dem 18. Jahrhundert, das mit seinen historischen Kellergewölben und den Produktionsräumen bis heute intakt aufrechterhalten geblieben ist. Im Jahr 2019 wurde der Bau der Erweiterung der Kellerei abgeschlossen, ein Projekt des Architekten Rafael Moneo. Die drittgrößte Stadt Mallorcas liegt in der nördlichen Inselmitte und ist damit beliebter Ausgangspunkt für Fahrten in die Serra de Tramuntana sowie die großen Buchten des Nordens. Bevor Sie in Richtung Bergwelt und Campanet starten, sollten Sie von Inca aus ein paar Kilometer in Richtung Llubí fahren. Hier finden Sie Son Catiu, einen bekannten Hersteller feinsten Olivenöls. Verkosten sie die Öle und stärken Sie sich im Restaurant, bevor es von Inca aus über die Autobahn Ma13 in Richtung Alcúdia geht.

Campanet

In einem zauberhaften Tal finden Sie die Höhlen von Campanet (Coves de Campanet). Die unterirdische Welt bietet auf 3.200 Quadratmetern spektakuläre Tropfsteinformationen, faszinierende Grotten und eine bezaubernde Seenlandschaft. Die Höhlen sind vor allem im Sommer angenehm kühl. Da die Temperatur niemals über 17 Grad steigt, sollten Sie an eine leichte aber wärmende Jacke denken. Jeweils dienstags gibt es in Campanet einen kleinen Wochenmarkt.

Inca

The third largest city of Mallorca is located in the centre-north of the island and is therefore a popular starting point for trips to the Tramuntana Mountains and the large bays in the north. Before heading for Campanet and the mountains, you should make another stopover on the road from Inca to Llubí. After only a few kilometres you will reach Son Catiu, a well-known producer of excellent olive oil. Sample some olive oils and enjoy a nice meal in the restaurant before you go back to Inca and take the motorway Ma-13 towards Alcúdia.

Campanet

Situated in a lovely valley you find the Caves of Campanet. This subterranean world of 3.200 sq.m. offers spectacular stalactite and stalagmite formations, fascinating grottos and enchanting subterranean lakes. In summer the caves are wonderfully cool, but don’t forget to take a light jacket with you, because the temperature inside the caves never exceeds 17 degrees. Every Tuesday there is a small market in Campanet.

Fahren Sie von Campanet aus über die Ma-2131 über Moscari bis nach Selva. Ein hübsches Kräuterdorf am Rande der Serra de Tramuntana. Von der hoch oben liegenden Kirche hat man einen herrlichen Ausblick auf die Berge, die Nordküste sowie die Mitte und den südlichen Teil der Insel. Der Wochenmarkt findet hier jeweils mittwochs statt.

From Campanet take the Ma-2131 road via Moscari until you reach Selva. Selva, also called the “herb village”, is located at the foot of the Tramuntana Mountains. From the church situated high above the village you have a wonderful view of the mountains, the north coast and the centre and south of the island. Market is held every Wednesday.

La tercera ciudad más grande de Mallorca está ubicada en el centro-norte de la isla y es por lo tanto un popular punto de salida para excursiones a la Sierra de Tramuntana y a las grandes bahías del norte.

Desde Campanet coja la carretera Ma2131 pasando por Moscari, hasta llegar a Selva también llamado el ”pueblo de las hierbas“, se encuentra al pie de la Sierra de Tramuntana. Desde la iglesia, situada en lo alto del pueblo, hay unas vistas maravillosas de las montañas, la costa norte, así como del centro y sur de la isla. Hay mercado cada miércoles

Antes de seguir en dirección a Campanet y las montañas, le recomendamos un pequeño desvío a Llubí, a pocos kilómetros de Inca. Aquí se encuentra un conocido productor de un excelente aceite de Oliva, Son Catiu. Deguste los aceites y disfrute de una buena comida en el restaurante antes de volver a Inca para coger la autopista Ma-13 en dirección Alcúdia.

En medio de un valle encantador se encuentran las Cuevas de Campanet. En un mundo subterráneo de unos 3.200 metros cuadrados, verá espectaculares formaciones de estalactitas y estalagmitas, fascinantes grutas e impresionantes lagos subterráneos. En verano la temperatura en las cuevas es muy agradable. Pero es recomendable llevar una chaqueta ligera, ya que la temperatura en el interior nunca supera 17 grados. Los martes hay un pequeño mercado en Campanet.

Weiter geht es über die Ma-2130 nach Caimari. Sie haben das Olivendorf Mallorcas erreicht. Hier findet im Herbst die große Olivenmesse statt. Produzenten präsentieren ihre Öle, Bodegas ihre Weine, dazu gibt es Inselköstlichkeiten und Kunsthandwerk. Am Montag findet der traditionelle Wochenmarkt des Ortes statt.

Über die Serpentinenstraße Ma-2130 fahren Sie in die beeindruckende Berglandschaft zum Heiligtum Lluc. Das Santuari ist mit seiner Schwarzen Madonna eine berühmte Wallfahrtsstätte auf der Insel. Täglich um 11.45 Uhr und 16.45 Uhr probt der Kinderchor Es Blauets in der Klosterkirche. Sehenswert ist auch der Botanische Garten.

Now follow the Ma-2130 road towards Caimari. You have arrived at the olive capital of Mallorca. Every autumn the village celebrates a major Olive Fair. Producers present their oils, wineries their wines, accompanied by typical Mallorcan delicacies and and a craftwork exhibition. The traditional weekly market is held every Monday.

Continue on the winding Ma-2130 road through an impressive mountain landscape until you arrive at the Sanctuary of Lluc. The sanctuary with its Black Madonna is the most famous place of pilgrimage on the island. Twice a day, at 11.45 am and 4:45 pm, the “Es Blauets” children´s choir sings the Salve Regina in the church.

El mercado se celebra todos los miércoles. Luego siga la carretera Ma-2130 en dirección Caimari. Ha llegado a la capital de la aceituna. Aquí cada otoño se celebra la gran Feria de la Oliva. Los productores presentan sus aceites, las bodegas sus vinos, y todo ello acompañado de exquisiteces de la isla y artículos de artesanía. Los lunes se celebra el tradicional mercado del pueblo.

Weiter geht es über die Tramuntanaroute Ma-10 und das traumhafte Tal Son Marc nach Pollença. Eine attraktive Kleinstadt mit engen Gassen und gemütlichen Cafés und Restaurants. Sonntags ist in Pollença Markttag.

Das nördliche Ende der Insel Mallorca ist wahrhaft einzigartig: Wind und Wasser haben an der Halbinsel Formentor eine faszinierende und bizarre Steilküste geschaffen, mit steilen Klippen, atemberaubenden und beeindruckenden Aussichten. Von Port de Pollença aus führt die knapp 14 Kilometer lange, serpentinenreiche und schmale Ma-2110 bis zum Cap de Formentor und dem Parkplatz mit dem Leuchtturm. Auf der gesamten Strecke gibt es zahlreiche Aussichtspunkte. Wichtig: Im Sommer (15.06.-15.09.) ist die Strecke für PKWs gesperrt, ein Busshuttle fährt dann von Port de Pollença zum Leuchtturm.

Alcúdia

Am Meer entlang geht es weiter nach Alcúdia, eine der ältesten Städte Mallorcas. Kein anderer Ort der Insel bietet mehr arabisches Flair. Das frühe Pollentia wurde 70 v. Chr. von den Römern erbaut, antike Überreste können noch heute besichtigt werden. Kulturfans sollten sich in Aucanada die Stiftung Jakober mit einer außergewöhnlichen Sammlung von Kinderportraits und einem Garten mit außergewöhnlichen Tierskulpturen anschauen.

Continue on the Ma-10 through the Tramuntana and the wonderful valley of Son Marc towards Pollença. A very attractive little town with narrow streets and cosy cafés and restaurants. Market is held every Sunday.

Another option. The northernmost point of Mallorca is truly unique: wind and water have sculpted a fascinating and bizarre shoreline at the peninsula of Formentor, with steep cliffs and breathtaking views. From Port de Pollença a nearly 14 km winding road (Ma-2110) leads to Cape Formentor with its lighthouse and a car park. There are several lookouts on the way to the cape. Beware! In summer (15.06.15.09.) access by car is restricted however a shuttle bus service is available from the Port de Pollença.

Alcúdia

We continue along the coast towards Alcúdia, one of the oldest towns of Mallorca. No other place on the island offers such a Moorish atmosphere. The former Pollentia was built by the Romans in the year 70 B.C.; the archaeological remains can still be seen and visited. Culture lovers should visit the Jakober Foundation with its extraordinary collection of children’s portraits and its impressive sculpture park.

Pollença

Ahora seguimos por la carretera Ma-10 que atraviesa toda la Tramontana y el precioso valle de Son Marc, hasta llegar a Pollença. Una atractiva villa con estrechas callejuelas y acogedores cafés y restaurantes. El mercado se celebra los domingos.

Cap de Formentor

Otra opción es una excursión al cabo Cap de Formentor. La punta más septentrional de Mallorca es un lugar único: la acción del viento y del agua ha esculpido un fascinante y caprichoso acantilado en la península de Formentor, con escarpados riscos y vistas que quitan el hipo. Desde Port de Pollença hay que recorrer unos 14 kilómetros por la estrecha Ma-2110 llena de curvas hasta llegar al Cabo de Formentor con su aparcamiento cerca del faro. Ojo! En los meses de verano verano (15.06.-15.09.) el trafico está limitado y sólo se puede acceder via Shuttlebus desde Port de Pollença.

Alcúdia

Desde el Port de Pollença bordeamos la costa en dirección Alcúdia, una de las villas más antiguas de Mallorca. Ningún otro lugar de la isla presenta una influencia árabe tan marcada. La antigua Pollentia fue construida por los romanos en el año 70 A.C. y aún se puede visitar los restos arqueológicos. Amantes de la cultura deberían hacer una

parada en la Fundación Jakober con su extraordinaria colección de retratos de niños e impresionante parque de esculturas.

Machen Sie einen Badestopp an den weißen Sandstränden entlang der Bucht von Alcúdia oder besuchen Sie den Naturstrand Son Serra de Marina. Naturfreunde sollten den knapp 1.700 Quadratmeter großen Naturschutzpark s’Albufera besuchen und auf Entdeckungsreise zu seltenen Wasservögeln gehen.

Artà

Die mittelalterliche Stadt mit langer Tradition begeistert mit vielen, schönen Geschäften und Cafés. Hier lässt es sich in der kleinen Fußgängerzone ausgiebig flanieren, shoppen und ausspannen. Oberhalb des Ortes befindet sich die stattliche Burganlage mit der Wallfahrtskirche Sant Salvador. Auf Ihrem Weg zurück nach Inca sollten Sie über die Ma-3400 Richtung Santa Margalida fahren und auf der hügeligen, wildromantischen Wegstrecke die einzige Aloe Vera Bio-Plantage mit angrenzendem Shop besuchen.

3 Playa de Muro

Stopover and have a swim at any of the white sandy beaches of the Bay of Alcúdia. We recommend the natural beach of Son Serra de Marina or a visit to the 1.700 sqm nature reserve of s’Albufera where you can discover rare species of aquatic birds.

Artà

This medieval village captivates the visitor with its numerous beautiful shops and cafés. Its small pedestrian zone invites you to stroll, shop or just relax. High above the village there is an impressive fortress and the church of Sant Salvador. On your way back to Inca you should take the Ma3400 road and head to Santa Margalida, following a hilly and very romantic landscape, and stop at Mallorca’s only organic aloe vera plantation with its own shop.

Playa de Muro

Vale la pena hacer una parada para darse un chapuzón en una de las playas de arena blanca de la Bahía de Alcúdia.. Y si prefiere las playas naturales, le recomendamos la de Son Serra de Marina. Los amantes de la naturaleza no deberían perderse los casi 1.700 m2 del Parque Natural de s’Albufera para descubrir las raras aves acuáticas que viven en esta región.

Artà

Esta villa medieval con una larga tradición cautiva al visitante por sus numerosos, preciosos cafés y tiendas. La pequeña zona peatonal invita a pasear, comprar y relajarse. En lo alto del pueblo hay un magnífico recinto amurallado con el Santuario de Sant Salvador. En el camino de vuelta a Inca le recomendamos que vaya por la carretera Ma3400 a Santa Margalida. Aparte del romántico recorrido que atraviesa varias colinas, puede visitar la única plantación ecológica de Aloe Vera de la isla, con tienda propia.

Einmal mehr beginnt unsere heutige Tour in der Balearenhautptstadt. Im Jahre 122 v. Chr. gründeten die Römer Palmeria. Es ist eine moderne Großstadt, die jedoch nichts an traditioneller Kultur und Architektur eingebüßt hat. Das mediterrane Flair ist allerorten spürbar. Baluard del Príncep, das östliche Ende der Stadtmauer. Von hier aus bietet sich ein herrlicher Blick über den Hafen und die Bucht von Palma. Ein Bummel durch eine der schönsten und besterhaltendsten Altstädte Europas führt sie in schmale Gassen und vorbei an malerischen Innenhöfen, den so genannten „Patios“. Einige sind öffentlich begehbar, andere durch große Eisentore verschlossen. Die Stadt Palma bietet geführte Touren durch die Patios an. Die vielen Gebäude des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts wurden im Modernismus-Stil geschaffen. Erkennbar ist an vielen Stellen auch der katalanische Jugendstil mit Gaudí als seinem berühmtesten Vertreter, mit filigranen Mustern, runden Formen und kunstvollen Arbeiten aus Stein und Schmiedeeisen, Fliesen, Keramiken und Glaskunst.

Once again we start our tour in the capital. The city of “Palmeria” was founded by the Romans in the year 122 B.C. Palma is a modern metropolis full of tradition, culture and architecture. The Mediterranean atmosphere is present wherever you go. Baluard del Príncep, the eastern end of the city wall. From here you have wonderful views over the port and bay of Palma de Mallorca. A stroll through one of the most beautiful and best preserved historic city centres of Europe takes you through narrow streets and past picturesque patios. Some of them are accessible; others are hidden behind impressive iron gates. The Town Hall of Palma offers guided tours through the patios of the city, where you can see up to 60 patios. Numerous buildings from the early 20th C. are modernist Art Nouveau buildings, and in many places you will recognize the Catalonian Art Nouveau style of Gaudí, its most famous representative, with sophisticated patterns, round shapes and artworks made of stone, wrought iron, tiles, ceramic and glass.

Besonders abends belebt ist das Llonja-Viertel, benannt nach der alten Seehandelsbörse. Viele Restaurants und Cafés, aber auch Boutiquen und Galerien haben sich hier niedergelassen. Take your time to browse the shops in the Balearic capital. In the narrow streets and ample boulevards you’ll find numerous boutiques and shops, which cater to all tastes. One of the most bustling places of Palma, especially in the evening, is the Llotja district, named after what once was the headquarters of the Merchants’ Association. Many restaurants, cafés, boutiques and art galleries have established here. Another great place to stroll or rest is the “Paseo del Borne”, Palma’s grand boulevard.

Gaudí también contribuyó notablemente al estilo de la Catedral de Palma, La Seu. Sobre todo el extraordinario altar-baldaquín atrae a todas las miradas. Resulta también fascinante la obra en cerámica realizada por el artista mallorquín Miquel Barceló en la capilla lateral, inaugurada en el año 2007. Algunos de ellos son abiertos al público, otros se esconden detrás de verjas de hierro. El Ayuntamiento de Palma ofrece excursiones guiadas por los patios de la ciudad que da a los participantes la oportunidad de conocer hasta 60 patios. Numerosos edificios del comienzo del siglo XX son de estilo modernista. Y en muchos lugares se reconoce fácilmente el estilo modernista catalán de Gaudí, su representante más famoso, con sus dibujos filigranas, formas redondas y detalles artísticos de piedra y hierro forjado, lozas, cerámica y vidrio artesanal.

Port Adriano / Port de Andratx

Este puerto deportivo fue diseñado por el legendario arquitecto Philippe Starck e inaugurado en 2012. Y la siguiente parada en nuestra ruta por los puertos deportivos de lujo podría ser Port d’Andratx. Aquí, sobretodo, rige el lema “ver y ser visto”. Encontrará restaurantes de alto standing, pero también acogedores bares para disfrutar de una perfecta puesta del sol combinada con una maravillosa vista a los barcos y yates.

Es Capdellà

Auf Ihrer Route in den Südwesten der Insel sind auch die Berge niemals weit entfernt. Kurz vor Andratx sollten Sie einen Abstecher in den Ort Es Capdellà und anschließend ins 402 Meter hoch gelegene Galilea machen. Nach einer kurvenreichen Strecke belohnt Sie ein herrlicher Ausblick auf Berge und Meer.

Sant Elm

Von Port d’Andratx lohnt sich ein Trip nach Sant Elm. Der südwestlichste Zipfel der Insel bietet noch Ursprünglichkeit, gemütliche Lokale und viel Natur. Von hier aus starten täglich Boote zur vorgelagerten Insel Sa Dragonera. Die 300 m2 kleine „Dracheninsel“ erinnert in ihrer Form an einen Drachen, ist aber auch Lebensraum einer Vielzahl von Eidechsen. Die Insel steht unter Naturschutz, deshalb sind die Besucherzahlen begrenzt. Wer nicht auf Echsen steht, kann Sa Dragonera natürlich auch im Sonnenuntergang von einer der schönen Restaurantterrassen bewundern.

Es Capdellà

On your tour through the southwest of the island you will not be far away from the mountains. Before arriving at Andratx you could take a detour to Es Capdellà and then to the village of Galilea situated 402 m above sea level. At the end of the winding road you will be rewarded with stunning views of the sea and the mountains.

Sant Elm

And from Port d’Andratx it is worth taking another detour to Sant Elm. The southwesternmost part of the island still offers an unspoilt atmosphere, cosy bars and restaurants and a lot of nature. There are daily boat trips to the island of Sa Dragonera situated in front of the coastline. The shape of this 300 sq.m. island, in the form of a dragon, is the origin of its name. Dragonera is the habitat of numerous species of lizards and is also a nature reserve; hence access to the island is limited. However if you don’t like lizards, you can enjoy the sunset over Sa Dragonera from one of the restaurant terraces in Sant Elm.

Es Capdellà

Pero esta ruta por el suroeste de la isla tampoco se aleja mucho de las montañas. Antes de llegar a Andratx le recomendamos un breve desvío a Es Capdellà y después al pueblo de Galilea situado a 402 m sobre el nivel del mar. Después de un recorrido repleto de curvas será recompensado por unas vistas fantásticas sobre el mar y las montañas.

Sant Elm

Y desde Port d’Andratx vale la pena una pequeña escapada a Sant Elm. El extremo suroeste de la isla aún conserva su autenticidad, acogedores locales y mucha naturaleza. A diario salen barcos a la isla de Sa Dragonera que se encuentra justo en frente. La forma del islote de Dragonera, con una superficie de unos 300 m2, recuerda a un dragón y es el hábitat de numerosas especies de lagartijas. La isla es un espacio natural protegido, por lo que las visitas están restringidas. Si no le gustan las lagartijas, también puede disfrutar de la puesta del sol sobre Sa Dragonera desde alguna de las terrazas de Sant Elm.
