Imtiaz Ahmad Prince As an Architect, I do (for others); therefore I am Architecture is a multifaceted story about events, experiences, memories; it is about sharing and empathy. I started in a city of dreams. In Bangladesh, you essentially, need to know about everything; every material, technique, craftsmen, where to find all these. And sustainabilty and optimization are inherent in building design. Here, I learnt to be close to people, work with them side by side. I don’t think I am a good writer, but I try to be a storyteller. My media is visual, tactile and physical. Creativity is hard to determine, but what this portfoilo shows is my passion, the diversity of the projects within, a mere mirror to my kaleidoscopic curiosity.

Resort Pakhitiki Holidays Term: 2/2 Studio Teachers: Ar. K. Taufiq Elahi Ar. Afrina Haque
Resort is a place that is frequented for holidays or recreation or for a particular purpose. People who are tired with their everyday life choose a resort for refreshment and relaxation for a time being. In the studio, the project was given in order to explore climate, environment, functions while maintaining the pshychology of the guests in mind. The site was far away from the busy city life in order to provide the guests with a scenic view of lake Pakhitiki and a quiet hideout.
Harbored in the serene green hillocks of tea plantations in northeast Bangladesh, while designing, it was tried not to harm the nature as much as possible. The public area with reception and adjacent diner was placed after the entrance of the site surrounding a shallow water body. The cottages were in the last end of the site beside the lake. This resort allows the guests relish the essence of living within nature.
