MFU Admission Requirements • Master’s Degree
- Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Doctoral Degree
- Applicants must have a Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with honours or equivalent. - Applicants must have an English proficiency test result that is equivalent or greater than the following criteria; - TOEFL (Paper-based) 437 - TOEFL (Computer-based) 123 - TOEFL (Internet-based) 41 - TOEFL (Institutional Testing Programme) Level 1 500 - IELTS 5 - TU-GET 450 - CU-TEP 45 - CMU-eTEGS 60 - MFU-TEP 50 - The test results must not be older than 2 years from the date of the exam. In the case that any curriculum has set higher scores, the criteria by the programme admission shall be used. - In the case that applicants have English proficiency test results lower than the criteria, they will be accepted to study in the programme under certain conditions. Applicants are required to either submit their results of the English proficiency test within the first semester of their study or enroll and pass the “Academic English for Graduate Studies 1” course (3,000 THB). Otherwise, it will be considered that they have not passed the admission process.
Graduation Conditions • The students who are eligible to graduate must have an English proficiency level that corresponds to the set requirement for graduate students as listed in the MFU announcement entitled “English Proficiency Test Requirements for Graduate Students at Mae Fah Luang University.” This requirement is also in agreement with Mae Fah Luang University’s Regulations on Graduate Studies 2017.
Other Conditions • The university will not refund the application fee and the tuition fee regardless of any circumstances. • Once the applicants have submitted the application form, it means that they have already studied and verified their qualifications. If it is found later that the applicants are disqualified, they will not be eligible for the admission examination. 2

MFU-TEP (The Test of English Proficiency) 1. MFU-TEP will be held 3-5 times a year of which the exact dates will be announced by School of Liberal Arts, MFU. 2. MFU-TEP consits of 3 parts including; Listening, Grammar and Written Expression, and Reading. 3. 5 Steps to Apply to MFU Step 1 : Choose Your Programme

Step 2 : Submit Application Form
• Applying online at https://en.mfu.ac.th/admission/admission-guide.html
Step 3 : Receive Information
• E-mail confirmation will be received in approximately 4 weeks. • An interview can be held by telephone or Skype video call. Other documents may be required; in this case, further notification will be sent. • A successful interview will be followed by an official acceptance letter with the necessary visa request documents and acceptance package.
Step 4 : Arrive at the MFU Campus
• Inform the Global Relations Division of your arrival details for pickup services from the Mae Fah Luang - Chiang Rai International Airport or Chiang Rai Bus Station (1 week in advance).
Step 5 : Register for Classes
• Submit original copies of all necessary documents to the Registrar Division. • Full fees must be paid in Thai Baht (THB) currency.
