The Hari Art Prize Comes to Hong Kong
As with its sister property in London, The Hari Hong Kong’s appreciation for art results in an open call for entries in its inaugural The Hari Art Prize. It will be open to emerging self-taught artists and art students who’ve graduated in the past three years. The initiative is held in collaboration with Londonbased consultancy A Space for Art. Entries may be submitted from 1 February to 30 April 2023. The winner receives a cash grant of HKD100,000, funded by Dr. Aron Harilela, with his or her artworks displayed at both The Hari Hong Kong and The Hari London. Results of The Hari Art Prize will be revealed in September 2023. “My family has always had a passion for art with many pieces from our private collection featured throughout The Hari hotels in Hong Kong and London,” Harilela says. “This is the first of a new cultural tradition for us.”
