Grab your blankets and chairs and come to the Mandeville Trailhead for the spring 2024 series, Mandeville Live! Free Fridays concerts. The May 3rd concert features Mike “The Soulman’’ Baptiste & The Mystics and the final concert in the series will be May 10th featuring Typically Booked. Q50 Races - Cinco de Mayo 5 Miler & 5K
Saturday, May 4
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a run through Mandeville’s beautiful Fontainebleau State Park in the 7th annual Q50 Races’ Cinco de Mayo trail run, Saturday, May 4, 2024. Runners can choose 5 miles (one loop) and/or 3 miles (one loop) and enjoy tacos and refreshments at finish. The race starts at the Fontainebleau State Park pavilion near the shore of Lake Pontchartrain. Admission is free for spectators and entry fees for racers vary and spots are limited.

The Lobby Lounge at The Harbor Center Concert Series
Thursday, May 9 and June 13, 7-9 p.m.
The Lobby Lounge is a listening room venue inside The Harbor Center in Slidell. The concert series features nationally touring acts throughout the year, focusing on artists from the worlds of indie rock, folk, country, jazz, blues and more. May 9 featuring Jessie Ritter and June 13 featuring Maiah Wynne. Performances are acoustic or lightly amplified, in a Bohemian-style, smoke-free, 124-seat venue. Tickets are $20-$100. Admission to

Mandeville Food Truck Festival

The Mandeville Lions Club presents the 3rd annual Mandeville Food Truck Festival. Enjoy fun outside and inside events for everyone, including great food, live music, a bounce house, and the Kentucky Derby on projector screen.

Northshore Heart Walk

The Northshore Heart Walk is a great way to get moving while socializing with friends, family and co-workers leading up to and on the day of the event. But it’s so much more than a walk, boost your heart health and mental health while helping millions of others at the same time. There is no fee to join the walk, although participants are encouraged to raise funds. Register in advance to take advantage of fundraising tools and tips.

Jazz’n the Vines Concert
Saturday, May 11 & 25 and June 1, 6:30-9p.m.
The Jazz’n the Vines outdoor concert series at Wild Bush Farm + Vineyard is a great evening for a date night, family outing or a get together with friends. Wild Bush Farm + Vineyard wines are available for tasting and purchase, and local food trucks will be serving up some good eats. Tickets are $12 per person. Children are welcome, and free under 12. Dew Drop Jazz Hall Concert: Anaïs St. John

The historic Dew Drop Jazz Hall in Old Mandeville presents the Anaïs St. John in the last concert of the Spring 2024 season. Old Mandeville Historic Association Mother’s Day Home Tour

The Old Mandeville Historic Association presents its popular annual event, the Mother’s Day Home Tour, with the theme of Spring Mix: Creole to Mid-Century Modern. In addition to the historic Jean Baptiste Lang House, six additional private Old Mandeville homes will open their doors to the public. Admission for adults is $25 in advance, $30 on the day of the event and student tickets are $15.

Northshore Food Bank’s 22nd Annual Golf Tournament
Tuesday, May 14, 10 a.m.
Join the Northshore Food Bank for their 22nd Annual Golf Tournament, the nonprofit food bank’s largest annual fundraiser. The tournament is an amateur scramble format with four player teams. Food and beverages served throughout the day with dinner following the tournament. Also, a raffle will take place before play. Admission is $200 for a team, $50 individual, and sponsorships are available.

Playmakers Theater of Covington presents “Picasso at the Lapin Agile” a comedy by Steve Martin. This long-running offBroadway absurdist comedy places Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso in a Parisian cafe in 1904, just before the renowned scientist transformed physics with his theory of relativity and the celebrated painter set the art world afire with cubism. 2024 NAMI Walks St. Tammany

Join hundreds of Northshore residents as they walk together in NAMIWalks, St. Tammany’s largest mental health awareness and fundraising event on the Northshore. Each year NAMIWalks participants open up the conversation around mental health care, decrease stigma, and raise vital funds that support free resources, support, education, and advocacy for close to 30,000 community members impacted by mental health concerns.

Christ Episcopal Church Covington closes its 2023-2024 Third Sunday Concerts series with award-winning New Orleans blues pianist Joe Krown. Third Sunday Concert Series, now in its 33rd year, is an outreach of Christ Episcopal Church, Covington. The one-hour concerts are free and open to the public and are followed by a wine and light hors d’oeuvres reception in the Parish Hall for the performers and audience.

A Taste of Covington Food, Wine, Music & Art Festival, presented by Gulf Coast Bank, returns for its 13th annual celebration of Covington’s stellar restaurants and arts-loving culture. This month-long event features wine dinners, tastings and more, Tuesday through Friday nights with special events on weekends. Northshore Cajun Dance at Abita Town Hall

Come “pass a good time” to Cajun/ Zydeco music at Abita Town Hall for the Northshore Cajun Dancers’ monthly dance. The event includes free dance lessons, 7-7:30 p.m., with live music performance beginning at 8 p.m. Admission is $12 for ages 18 and up ($10 for members of Northshore Cajun Dancers Club), free for kids 12 and under. Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration

The City of Covington and One Covington - Future Leaders of Louisiana invite you to join their annual celebration of Juneteenth. The day’s events kick off with a Freedom Parade through downtown Covington at 10 a.m. A program and resource fair follows, beginning with a ceremony at 11:30 a.m. The program features speakers and spoken word performances, as well as a vendor fair, arts and crafts, a maypole dance and a roundtable discussion. All events are free and open to the public.

Larry Hartzog's Twisted Beer Fest & Homebrew Competition

Come to the 11th Annual Larry Hartzog’s Twisted Beer Fest and Homebrew Competition featuring over 200 beer samplings from homebrew and commercial breweries around the state. Participating breweries have included Abita, Urban South, Gnarly Barley, Rally Cap Brewing Co. and others serving their top sellers along with their newest brews. Attendees can also enjoy delicious food, music, vendors and a people’s choice competition among the homemade beers. General admission, which includes all beer samplings, is $50 in advance or $55 at the door. Early entry (3 p.m.) tickets available for $65. Slidell Heritage Festival

Sparks in the Park

Get a jump on 4th of July celebrations and bring your lawn chairs and blankets to Covington’s Bogue Falaya Park, for their annual “Sparks in the Park”, a free festival celebrating America’s Independence Day with loads of food, music and fun for all ages. The evening ends with a bang with fireworks at dusk. Entertainment will be announced as the event nears, including plenty of activities for the kids and vendor booths offering unique gift items and homemade goods.
