Welcome from Jo Butler I moved to Oxford four years ago and the abundance of fantastic restaurants to choose from never ceases to amaze me. Oxford, as a city, is defined by the colleges, the culture and a history which is second to none. To spend a day in Oxford enjoying a stroll around a picturesque college, followed by some punting and then a coffee in a small café is my idea of heaven, but being able to round the day off in one of the many excellent restaurants Oxford has to offer makes the day perfect. But don’t feel limited to the city centre. If you’re visiting Oxford, why not extend your stay and make sure you sample one of the superb restaurants beyond the city walls. With many a short taxi ride away, you can immerse yourself in rural Oxfordshire and see why our beautiful county is not only an attraction to visitors from afar, it’s also a wonderful place to live.

And the restaurant itself is certainly informal with its rustic furniture and candles, but our customers love it, and most are regulars. Eat from £7.90 at lunch time, or in the evening choose from either our a la carte menu or one of our prix fixe menus, such as three courses for £23.50 or our pre-theatre menu which offers two courses plus coffee for £11.50.
