Probiotics and Your Digestive Health As nurses we live under constant stress, which can certainly affect the digestive tract. As is often the case in a stressful time, the results are seen as upset stomach, diarrhea, and an overall sense of just not feeling well. One preventive solution is to take good care of the digestive tract by proper diet, exercise, plenty of water, and possibly adding a probiotic into your daily routine. Probiotic facts In recent years, scientists have discovered that there may be a link between probiotics and mental health. A new study has suggested improper levels of certain gut bacteria could be linked to behavioral conditions such as depression and other mental conditions. While these studies regarding probiotic health with mental health are still underway, it is factual the digestive health can impact our overall sense of well-being. Heart health is now being linked to probiotics as well. New findings suggest intestinal bacteria could play an important role in lowering bacteria that can affect a hormone implicated in heart health. How inconvenient to go to work, and have a million things to do, however you end up making multiple trips to the restroom.
