NEWS FROM
Your LBC
FEBRUARY 2021 What’s your LBC story? As we look back on 40 years of being your premier performing arts center in Sonoma County, so many memories come to mind. We have our favorites; but the most important memories come from our patrons, and we would love to hear yours! Did you get married here? Did you first come here on a fieldtrip? Or attend a conference? Did you see your favorite performer, comedian or author here? Serving the community for four decades, we know everyone has at least one LBC story to tell, and we want to include them in our interactive timeline so you can be a part of the LBC’s history too! Visit our website to celebrate our 40th anniversary and share your stories, memories and photos.
Join Us! DATE NIGHT WITH LBC February 12, 2021
In celebration of forty years of connecting our community, LBC is presenting a virtual concert and fundraising event titled Date Night with LBC on Friday February 12 at 6:00 p.m. Hosted by Susan Preston, LBC Board Chair, and County Supervisor James Gore, this event will kick off Valentine’s Day weekend and feature a performance by world-renowned jazz artist Jonathan Butler. To complement the evening, six of the area’s finest restauranteurs and wineries have come together to provide optional, sumptuous dinners-for-two with wine pairings to enjoy in the comfort of concert-goers’ homes. As an integral part of Sonoma County since 1981, this is the first time since opening that the Center has been closed while continuing to offer an array of virtual experiences to engage with online. This is one of several events throughout the upcoming year that will invite the community to participate with and support the Center. In addition, after serving the community for four decades, everyone has at least one LBC story, so throughout the year the organization will be collecting patrons’ personal experiences that demonstrate the Center’s impact and sharing them with the community. Our featured celebrity chefs and winery partners for Date Night shared why they love the LBC. Here is what they had to say:

Rodney Strong Vineyards has had the privilege to be the Wine Sponsor at the LBC for over 10 years now. We believe that wine, food and the performing arts share a common purpose in community; that combined together, they enhance life’s experience, and they certainly make for the most memorable dates!

My wife Lisa and I have loved having the ability to enjoy world class entertainment right here in our back yard ever since coming to Sonoma county almost 17 years ago. I remember being close up to John Legend as if he was playing in our own living room! The LBC is also such an incubator for our future stage stars.
