NEWS FROM
Your LBC
MARCH 2021 Celebrating diverse community voices In 2003, the LBC established a Latino Outreach initiative in an effort to include diverse community voices at the planning table through a series of listening sessions. The group was formalized in 2009 to become the Latino Advisory Council (LAC) with the vision of creating engaging programs through community collaboration, cultivating relationships with our community, and celebrating Latino arts and artists. For nearly two decades this group of community leaders has partnered with LBC to shape annual events such as Fiesta de Independencia and Posada Navideña. Their insight also helps guide the vision and goals of the entire organization. The everpopular Mariachi Ensemble started as an idea from this group, which has now grown to serve over 75 students from all over Sonoma County annually. We are immensely grateful for the continued support and guidance from the members of the LAC as we strive to ensure that LBC remains relevant, welcoming, and accessible to everyone in our community. If you’re interested in learning more about the LAC and how to get involved, please reach out to us at education@lutherburbankcenter.org.

Business Partner Spotlight
Third-generation family owned and operated, Clover Sonoma was the first dairy company in the United States to become American Humane Certified, and hold its partnership of family-owned dairy farms to a higher standard by developing its own unique Clover Promise of Excellence. Clover Sonoma is proud to bring conscious dairy products direct from its farms to consumers. As a Certified B Corporation®, the company uses its business as a force to do good; its passionate support of animal welfare, sustainable business practices, and local community have always been hallmarks of the business. Love is at the heart of Clover and each year the company gives back at least 5% of its annual profits to support these passions under its Clover Cares program. As part of this program, Clover is a long-time supporter of the Luther Burbank Center. Through sponsorship of the Family Fun Series, their mascot, Clo the Cow, has paid the theater many visits and opened countless shows—bringing joy and entertainment to local, young concert goers. Clo can’t wait to be back at the theater, serving ice cream, and greeting fans once more! In the meantime though, you can find her new book “Pasture Bedtime” at Copperfields Books and read about some of her adventures. All proceeds from the book will benefit Bookstormer Foundation, a Bay Area non-profit providing books for students in Title I schools. For more information, please visit www.cloversonoma.com and join the conversation on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube.
