As co-chairs, we welcome you to tonight’s celebration of the Incarnate Word Academy community. We hope you enjoy this evening of elegance, Spanish inspiration, and camaraderie.
Our daughters are each at different points in their IWA journeys, but we all agree that IWA fosters their intellectual growth, moral integrity, and personal development. It continues to provide a strong foundation for our daughters to meet the challenges of the world. In addition, the rigorous curriculum and scholastic readiness given to them will prepare them well for the next stage of their educational journey.
This year’s gala represents the past, present, and future in several ways for our families. Monica is a graduate of IWA, Class of ‘98, and has carried the lessons, friendships, and memories she built there close to her heart. All of us have daughters who we look forward to continuing the legacy of academics, values, and spirituality.
Most specially, our honoree this year, the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, have had a presence in most of Monica’s life. Monica’s mother, Margi Ciatto, worked for the Sisters for 45 years, and Monica herself worked at CHRISTUS Health for 8 years. She has witnessed their dedication and passion for the sick and underserved, which made lasting impacts.
May tonight not only be a celebration but a reminder of the incredible potential we have to come together to shape the future of young women, and to carry on the legacy of Incarnate Word Academy.
We hope that this evening inspires or reinvigorates your support of IWA and its mission!
¡Olé!

Dear IWA Community and Friends,
Welcome to Incarnate Word Academy’s Olé Madrid Gala and Auction! Your presence this evening contributes to a joyful event that supports the IWA mission of cultivating Women of the Word who are rooted in academics, values, and spirituality.
Tonight, we proudly honor the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word with the esteemed Sister Agatha Sheehan Award. This award is presented to those in the community who exemplify commitment, integrity, and excellence in their lives and professions. Our honorees serve as remarkable role models for us all, demonstrating their faithful commitment to God and service within the Church as signs of His presence in our world. They richly deserve this recognition.
This amazing event could not have happened without teamwork. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed to making this gala a resounding success. A special thank you to our gala chairs, Caroline and Chris Marciano; Monica Ciatto ‘98 and Oscar Montemayor; and Tracy and Mark Temple. I would also like to thank our Falcon Family Club Board Members for spearheading the Silent Auction; and the generous table underwriters, business owners, and individuals who donated items and experiences available in our Live and Silent auctions. I am very grateful to our hardworking Advancement Department staff, who have worked diligently behind the scenes.
Now, let us continue to enjoy the evening and support the mission. May God bless you abundantly for your generosity, and may His blessings continue to shine upon IWA’s rich legacy in the Houston community.
Praised be the Incarnate Word!

For nearly 155 years, the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word (CCVI) have embodied unwavering faith, compassion, and service, profoundly shaping the fabric of our community. Founded in 1866 in response to the dire needs of the sick and impoverished in Galveston, these courageous women answered the call of Bishop Claude Marie Dubuis to be the living presence of God’s love in the world. Their mission—to make the love of the Incarnate Word tangible through education, healthcare, and social justice initiatives—has flourished across generations, reaching beyond Houston to communities in Mexico, Peru, Kenya, and beyond.
Their commitment to education extends globally, as they continue to empower students to become leaders with compassionate hearts. Beyond the classroom, the sisters have pioneered healthcare institutions like CHRISTUS Health, ensuring that the most vulnerable receive dignified, quality care.
Tonight, we proudly present the Sister Agatha Sheehan Award to the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word in recognition of their extraordinary legacy of service and their enduring impact on Incarnate Word Academy and the world. Their dedication to the Gospel’s call to love and serve continues to illuminate our path, inspiring all who walk in the heart of Houston.
With heartfelt appreciation, we honor the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word.

Brittany has always believed in doing “things bigger than yourself.” At just 21, she raised $50,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, inspiring the launch of Sky High for Kids.
After a 13-year career in oil and gas, she shifted her focus entirely to the nonprofit in 2017. Under her leadership, Sky High for Kids has raised over $31 million for childhood cancer research, pledged $40 million to major projects with St. Jude and Texas Children’s Hospital, and helped establish the nation’s first Immunotherapy Center for children. Beyond funding research, the organization provides direct support to families battling cancer. Brittany lives in Houston with her husband Bobby, daughter Stevie James, and their two dogs.
