A Coffee Table Buying Guide The purpose of a coffee table seems rather straightforward, at its utmost basic position it's a table in the center of your living room on which you can put your coffee, magazines, and remotes, it may also use as a dining table, an office, a children's everything table and a footrest, or at times double up as redundant seating or a place to sort your washing.
