The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested a former jail administrator on theft and misconduct charges after he was indicted by the McNairy County grand jury on theft and misconduct charges Oct. 8, according to a press release from the TBI. Doug King, 30, of Selmer, was in-

dicted on one count of theft of property between $1,000 and $10,000, two counts of misconduct, and one count of tampering with evidence. After an internal investigation, Sheriff Guy Buck referred this matter to the 25th Judicial District Attorney General’s office, which requested a TBI investigation into allegations of missing funds last August. The owners of a Selmer convenience store and an Adamsville convenience store each pleaded guilty earlier in the year to violation of the state’s synthetic drug law, according to Asst. Arif Almudhala, owner of the Selmer Citgo, was fined $500 and paid court costs for violating Tennessee Code Annotated 39-17-438, which prohibits the manufacture, production, distribution

or possession of synthetic Cannibinoids (marijuana), according to the McNairy County Court Clerk’s office. He was granted a diversion, which means the case would be dismissed upon payment of the fine, court costs and refraining from such activity in the future. The case was dismissed last March. Under the agreement, half of the $3,000 in cash which was seized in the raid was returned to Almudhala. Autur S. Momi, owner of the Adamsville BP was fined $250 plus court costs for vio-
