John C. Moore, 19, who lived on Hubert Manuel Road in Michie, was killed in a one-car crash last Friday. Moore was traveling on Hubert Manuel Road in a 1998 Ford Ranger when he ran off the side of the roadway and struck a tree, according to Trooper Kennie Lamberth of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, who investigated the accident. Moore was transported to McNairy Regional Hospital, where Moore died from his injuries sustained in the accident.

The cast of the McNairy County Hee Haw show has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to the American Cancer Society in the last 27 years with one goal: To find a cure. During that time, a lot has changed. Cancer treatments have evolved and the cost for those treatments have risen as well. The show is based on the hit television show which ran on CBS from 1969-71 and for more than two decades in syndication.
