ARIES (Mar. 20 - Apr. 20) Stay dreamy. It’s a way for you to be in touch with your sweet nature. Reality can be a shock when you have been living in your fantasy world. However, your fantasy world is like a cosmic nightlight and has been protecting you from someone else’s nightmares. Take naps and escape to your bright angel land of dreams. TAURUS (Apr. 20 - May 21) It’s all too much now, isn’t it? Plan that family outing - it will give you something to look forward to besides who you have to discipline. This time was supposed to be a vacation but the issues at hand cannot be ignored. Keep leaning into the tape and you will finally win this long and grueling race. Victory is near. GEMINI (May 21 - June 22) Do not try and change your routine for someone else, even if you feel you owe it to them. It won’t make you happy and it won’t make them happy either. The guilt you learned at your parent’s knee may require you to force yourself to stick to you guns, but that is a lesson you have been wanting to learn for

some time now. CANCER (June 22 - July 23) Expansion is the operative mode this week. Do not hold back. Keep going and growing. You may have to break some dates because your calendar is bursting. However, make sure a few of the dates you break are business related so you can spend time with loved ones and share your growing pains with those who care. LEO (July 23 - Aug. 23) The advice you have been giving is good, but the advice you have been getting is even better. If you can accept the help you are being given as if it came from a family member -- one that you like and respect – it will lead you where you want to go. Control is not the issue now. Going with the flow is the way to win. VIRGO (Aug. 23 - Sept. 23) In the eyes of someone you care about, you have been acting like a famous family doctor who made house calls at all hours. Unfortunately, it’s Dr. Jekyll, so no more acting extreme, OK? Others are treating you with kid gloves for

may regret. If you do, just keep smiling as you apologize. Everybody knows you mean well.
LIBRA (Sept. 23 - Oct. 23) You are ready to give birth to a whole family of creative projects. It’s almost like it’s easier to do five things at once than only one. Keep juggling as much as you can, if you want to be in sync. Do not worry that you cannot work fast enough. You can. A major cycle is ending and a new one is beginning. Aren’t you glad?
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20 - Feb. 19) Fore! It’s time to notify everyone who is giving you a hard time that your naptime is over and you now realize you deserve better treatment from them. Giving out more than you get back is OK at Christmastime, but not now. Tell them when you can, but know that, until you do, the rewards and progress will be delayed.
SCORPIO (Oct. 23 - Nov. 22) If your pride gets hurt this week, remember that you can’t expect childish people to understand that even the strongest “daddy” and “mommy” has feelings, too. You will keep feeling hurt if you try to explain, so don’t. Have fun with it by giving them a dose of their own medicine. You will feel better, even if they won’t.
PISCES (Feb. 19 - Mar. 20) Stop your mind from running headlong into the future like a two year old who sees mommy down the hall. Breathe in deeply the perfume of flowers, puppies or the sea air and think about what’s right in your life. The stage is set for the appearance of the new you, the one you’ve been working all these years to become.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22 - Dec. 21) It’s time to stop hiding out. Your extended family is about to be extended to the limits -- your limits. You love your house and garden and now you are going to get a chance to share them with quite a crowd. Nurturing them will have a positive effect on you. You will soon know the kind of love you’ve been missing. CAPRICORN (Dec. 21 - Jan. 20) It’s hard to have as many ideas about what to do when you have about as much free time as the parent of twins. The mental strain is getting to you -- time to focus on “only” two projects and two people, or you’ll do a few things you

Jerry Seinfeld, 1954 Jerry Seinfeld was a competent stand-up comic enjoying a successful albeit uneventful career when he began working on a pilot for a proposed sitcom with a friend, Larry David. He was in his early 30s at the time. Before then, Seinfeld had enjoyed modest success. In 1979 Seinfeld landed a recurring role on the TV show “Benson” but he was fired. He next landed a spot on the “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” and impressed the host, who often welcomed him back. Nevertheless, Seinfeld and David had no reason to believe they could sell their idea for a sitcom, because it was based on their own rather mundane lives. “Nothing happens” became a catchphrase. In 1989, the show based on nothing made its debut on NBC with Seinfeld playing himself and the veteran actor Jason Alexander playing David. Julia Louis-Dreyfus of “Saturday Night Live” fame also signed on. By the time the run was over “Seinfeld” became the most successful show in television history. Seinfeld and David became enormously wealthy after the show was syndicated. It’s been a mellow ride ever since for the star. In 1998 he fell in love and eventually married Jessica Sklar. They bought an oceanfront house of Further Lane in Amagansett from Billy Joel and are raising their three children there. He currently stars in the cable show, “Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee” which has garnered lukewarm reviews and poor ratings. Before that he conceived a show called “Marriage Ref” that bombed. No problem. He has an airplane hanger to keep his collection of Porsches and rumors of a “Seinfeld” reunion continue to make headlines. Nowadays you can find him at Citi Field oftentimes routing for home his beloved Mets – the team is currently in first place.

An asterisk (*) denotes an Indy Best Movie pick. New To Theaters Ex Machina * (R) Noted screenwriter Alex Garland impresses in this, his directorial debut, with this startling yet disturbing fantasy thriller. Garland has attracted an all-star cast of fresh talent including Alicia Vikander (A Royal Affair) and Domhnall Gleeson (Harry Potter) and features Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis) as an eccentric CEO of a high-tech internet company. A chilling, thought provoking film that should not be missed. Coming Soon Far From The Maddening Crowd (PG-13) A visually lush rendering of the Thomas Hardy classic is a showcase for the considerable skills of Carey Mulligan, a woman who must choose between three suitors. Michael Sheen (The Queen) co-stars. It’s probably the season’s first Oscar pretender, but Mulligan is worth watching. Now Playing The Water Diviner (R) Russell Crowe
stars as a father searching for his missing sons in Turkey following the Battle of Gallipoli. Crowe, as always, is a commanding scrren presence. Unfortunately, this is the directorial debut of Crowe, who as a director makes a good actor. It’s contrived, overly-emotional, and throughly predictable.
Teens ages 12 to 17 are welcome to come hang out and discuss all things Manga and graphic novel related today starting at 6 PM at the Floyd Memorial Library in Greenport. For more information, call 631-477 0660 or email flydlib@suffolk.lib.ny.us. Located at 539 First Street in Greenport.
Unfriended (R) A perfect Friday night suspense/horror flick that is trendy, slick, and deliciously sinister, not to mention topical. Grab a date and go. Lost River (R) Ryan Gosling wrote and directs this suspense/fantasy and is often the case with actors, his effort, though well-meaning, is nothing short of embarrassing. Christina Hendricks does her best, given the wooden script and cloying sets. It’s a bomb. Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 (PG) Kevin James is back and he’s brought all the sophomoric prattle with him. Add a star if you are mentally deficient.

Watermelon Gazpacho Ingredients (serves 6) 1/2 large seedless watermelon 1 English cucumber (finely diced) 2 limes (juiced) 1/2 papaya (fine diced) 1/2 honeydew melon (finely diced) 2 tbsp honey 4 plum tomatoes (finely diced) 1/4 c mango juice Method Begin by cutting away the rind from the watermelon. Cut the watermelon
into manageable pieces and blend on high until you reach a nice smooth consistency. Allow the watermelon liquid to sit for three minutes or so and skim off the white foam that rises to the top. Once you have done this you can whisk in the lime juice, mango juice, and honey. All that is left is to make the fine knife cuts on all of the fruits and vegetables and mix them into the base. Pour and enjoy a nice refreshing gazpacho perfect for a summer day.
