So from one word, it went on to 2, 3, 4 and eventually 10. My mother inspired and motivated me to do something different and unique and so we did it”, says Anaisha.
The technique is the key The technique is the key to learning. Anaisha’s feat is not an easy one to achieve, sharing her technique, she says,
“First I try and understand the task at hand. Then I try to understand the technique of how to do it. And then I go ahead with the learning. That makes my learning easy and I enjoy it.”
Family is the pillar of strength “My family has always been supportive of all my learning and achievements. They taught me that learning and participating is more important than winning and that you do your best always,” says Anaisha of her parents. Anaisha’s mom taught her the words, their pronun-
ciation, the meaning and the spellings. It took her around two weeks to learn everything thoroughly and master it. Remembering a delightful incident, Anaisha says, “While my mom was recording my video, my dad
was continuously laughing at the pronunciations and making me laugh too. I was so distracted that my mom had to push my dad out of the room. So it was quite a funny and memorable recording for me.” Anaisha is currently focusing on learning new things and aspires to become an IAS or an IPS officer.

India Book of Records | September 2021
By Sanjana Bhowmick
Though an oxymoron to keep the dead alive, with his revolutionary innovation of Dead Body Freezer Box, Dr. P.R.M.M. Shantha Kumar, made it possible by ferrying countless people on their last journey. This concept was invented, on August 7, 1996, and the patent was granted, on November 11, 1999.
Before the invention of the Dead Body Freezer Box, it was difficult to preserve the deceased at home and the logistics are more complex in remote villages, where one cannot afford to delay the funeral ceremony due to the lack of dry ice bars.
existence. After extensive research, Mr. Kumar finally launched the concept in 1996 in Chennai. “We struggled a lot to promote this new concept but, slowly it became popular across the nation. Now we can find the “Dead Body Freezer Box” even in a remote village of India. We feel very proud that our concept and design remains the same for nearly 25”, says Mr. Kumar. Talking about his inspiration, Mr. Kumar says, “Before the invention of the Dead Body Freezer Box, it was difficult to preserve the deceased at home and the logistics are more complex in remote villages, where one cannot afford to delay the funeral ceremony due to the lack of dry ice bars. Since I was already in this field for 15 years, with my experience, I wanted to make this process very simple. After a lot of thought and effort, I came up with the idea of a Dead Body Freezer Box”. The evolution of the ‘Dead Body Freezer Box’ is a remarkable journey in itself. The first box designed was humongous in size and fully covered with a small glass opening near the face. In the second model, the weight was reduced for better accessibility. In the third model, they made a significant change in the design where the freezer box, was separated with a lid to cover, which was made of transparent acrylic material. The next improvement was made, in the mechanism level to improve and maintain the ideal temperature to preserve the Dead Body for more than 2 days. With gratitude in his heart and a gleam in his eyes, he says, “I am delighted to receive this prestigious award from the India Book of Records.” For his next record, Mr. Kumar is building a state-of-the-art ambulance, which would elevate the ambulance service in India.

r. Kumar has an experience of 40 years in private ambulance operations. His father converted his taxi for mortuary purposes and thereon, he stepped into this field. Initially, he used to transfer the bodies in a taxi, and later he started the ‘Flyinng Squad Ambulance Service Company’. “Our significant achievement is the invention of Dead Body Freezer Box back in 1996 to preserve the deceased at home. This innovation enabled close relatives and friends living far away to attend and pay homage to their beloved. Now we can find the Dead Body Freezer Box even in a remote village of India”, says Mr. Kumar. Talking about the science behind this innovation, Mr. Kumar says during the 1980s, there was a limited facility to transport patients and dead bodies. He constantly strived to improve on the facilities available and provide a better facility to his customers. Earlier, preserving the deceased at home for a certain time frame was also very difficult. Year after year, there were some improvements and developments in preserving the deceased but the results were unsatisfying. In 1993, a new revolutionary concept called “Dead Body Freezer Box” came into
