Craig Padgett Reporter The Sycamore’s men’s cross country team headed to Madison, Wis. Friday to compete at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional meet and they returned with a mixed result. Although the team finished tenth overall after coming into the meet ranked eighth they were able to send freshman John
Mascari to nationals by virtue of his seventh place finish. For the Sycamores his was their first individual to qualify for Nationals since Eric Schulz did in 2009. Mascari’s time of 30:56 also ranks him fourth all time in school history for the cross country 10000 meter race.
