A GLOBAL MINDSET

Indiana Tech prides itself on the flexibility of an online course with extensive support and mentoring throughout the program. In addition, our program appeals to an array of diverse professionals. Our Ph.D. program upholds that tradition in the following ways:

1. CURRICULUM OPTIONS

2. ONLINE DELIVERY

3. FLEXIBILITY

4. GLOBAL PRACTICUM OPPORTUNITIES

5. APPLIED RESEARCH

1. CURRICULUM OPTIONS

The Ph.D. in Global Leadership program offers five distinct concentrations:

À Business Administration (for MBA graduates only)

À Global Health Leadership

À Higher Education Administration

À Organizational Leadership

À Organizational Leadership/Higher Education Administration

PLUS, A POST-GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN GLOBAL LEADERSHIP

All students will complete core courses in research and global leadership. The concentration courses provide students the opportunity to gain practitioner knowledge and up-to-date best practices, which will be explored through individual research and the dissertation.

3. FLEXIBILITY

Students are accepted into the program at five sessions throughout the year. Progression through coursework is flexible to accommodate each student’s needs.

On average, students successfully complete six courses per year.

2. ONLINE DELIVERY

All courses in the Ph.D. program are delivered online, allowing students to pursue the degree while balancing family, work and community responsibilities.

Ph.D. students also participate in Immersion weekends on the main campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana. These residencies are offered twice each year.

5. APPLIED RESEARCH

The goal of applied research is to solve practical problems of the modern world not just accumulate knowledge.

Our program builds research knowledge throughout the curriculum. This is demonstrated through student projects and presentations at various conferences.

4. GLOBAL PRACTICUM OPPORTUNITIES

Students will have the opportunity to earn credit by traveling globally. The goal is to apply the concepts learned in the classroom to real-world international environments.

Students obtain practical experience in international cultures, enhance skills and integrate knowledge. Led by a faculty member or through an independent study course, students have the opportunity to visit international locations to explore leadership environments, learn about higher education systems, and see how cultural values and assumptions influence economic, business and organizational processes.
