Based on the strength of its Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity, Indiana Tech has been designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense. This recognition comes from the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security and has been bestowed upon only six schools in the state of Indiana.

CENTERS OF SUCCESS Career Center

A lifelong benefit to students and alumni alike, our Career Center helps students develop professional skills to prepare them for their first—or next—career. Our career coaches will advise you through selfassessments, career exploration, job search preparation and more. In addition, the Career Center hosts several events during the year, intended to help you with your professional growth. All services are free, and students are encouraged to visit early and often to take full advantage.

The Office of Student Success (OSS)

Staffed by caring student success advisors, the OSS is here to help you navigate around any obstacles you may encounter during your time as a student at Indiana Tech. We will help you improve your study skills, get you connected with a tutor, advise you on first-year course selection and much more. In addition, the OSS is your starting point if you are a student with a disability.

The Writing Center

Staffed with tutors and faculty members, our Writing Center helps students get the best out of their writing skills. Also within the Writing Center is the Virtual Reality Communication Lab, a place where students can improve their presentation skills to become more refined and confident speakers.

STUDENT ENGAGEMENT

Freshman Housing

Living on campus for the first time is exciting, but can also be a little intimidating for some. That’s why freshmen at Indiana Tech live together—either in Pierson Hall or Kalbfleisch Hall. Traditional on-campus life still comes with the comforts of home, including high-speed internet in every room.

Welcome Week

During your first week as a Warrior, we get you started right. The Office of Student Engagement offers a variety of events to welcome you in style, from comedy shows and movie nights to virtual reality gaming and laser tag.

Family and Friends Day

Miss your home team? Spend time with them and show off your new digs during our annual Family and Friends day at homecoming in the fall.

Meal Plans

You won't be "hangry" here. All residential freshmen have an all-you-can-eat, fullmeal plan, featuring home-style cooking by dining services in Andorfer Commons. Additionally, students can use their meal swipes at the Kachmann Cafe and our two newest places to grab a bite to eat, Central Grounds coffee shop and Max’s Bistro.

Our Office of Residence Life fosters a living environment that encourages both academic success and social development.

Living on campus is required for the first two academic years (if you live outside of our 50mile radius) to ensure you get a solid start to your college career and connect with the campus community. Our residence halls are staffed by trained resident assistants who are there to solve problems and mentor students, as needed. The facilities are new, clean and loaded with the features students love.

College is about much more than studying, of course. It’s also about discovering new experiences and bonding with new friends. Good news: there’s always something happening on campus. Our Office of Student Engagement (OSE) schedules a variety of events throughout the year; some to expand your mind and others just for fun.

Billiards and Bowling and Fitness, Oh My! Stop by the Fitness Center for state-of-the-art equipment and classes, including yoga. It’s included in your tuition. Then head to the Rec Center for bowling, billiards or air hockey...or simply chill with friends in the lounge.

Free Movies

Catch the latest big-screen blockbusters several times a semester—for free—in our on-campus movie house, the Magee-O'Connor Theater. The Magee features stadium seating and free popcorn, candy and drinks, too!

Intramural Sports

Get your game on! We have a variety of intramural leagues and tournaments including basketball, volleyball, ping pong, dodgeball, bowling, video games and more.

Indiana Tech has a robust esports program, with varsity and club teams that compete in League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League and Valorant. We have a state-of-the-art gaming arena to develop the best players in the world and an ultimate goal of preparing graduates who are proficient in their prospective professional fields.

Dine Any Time

Fuel your mind and body. Meal plans are included in freshman campus housing, so students can enjoy homemade food prepared with fresh ingredients. Our dining hall is open nearly all day, so you’ll never have to worry about missing specific meal times. Need your Starbucks fix? Swing by the Kachmann Cafe to grab a drink or a snack in between classes.

Want to meet friends for coffee or enjoy some made-to-order, pub-style food? Try out Central Grounds and Max's Bistro, two featured establishments on the lower level of Summit Hall.
