BAPS in Sydney hosts Swaminarayan Jayanti celebrations As part of Shri Swami Narayan Jayanti celebrations, Andrew Charlton, Labor for Parramatta was invited to address the gathering of devotees at BAPS Swaminarayan Temple, Sydney on April 10. "The community was so vibrant and welcoming it was hard not to be moved by what they had built at the temple and the open arms with which we were greeted. Thank you once again for your hospitality, Jai Swaminarayan," Mr Charlton wrote on his Facebook timeline. Julia Finn MP also was invited to the religious event.

Conscious Planet supporters in Brisbane celebrate the European leg of Sadhguru’s 30,000 km bike ride An update from Europe The Save Soil movement initiated by Sadhguru has reached the end of its European leg after over 35 days of relentless riding including some days of going through extremely rough weather. Always on time for each event, Sadhguru has soldiered on day after day with only one goal: to increase awareness and Save Soil from extinction. During the European leg of this trip, he has met several celebrities, influencers, government ministers and scientist who have shown overwhelming support. He spoke at the United Nations in Geneva and was also hosted by the Vatican. People from all walks of life have come to listen to Sadhguru in 16 events held across Europe. In just 20 years’ time, food production could fall by 30%, that means 800 million people can suffer from hunger. Many would remember how just a toilet paper shortage led to fights in supermarkets. Nobody would want to imagine what food shortages will look like. It is a very dire situation, but how do we fix it? There are many ways to do it. The important thing is that the organic content should go up and soil should be alive. This can only be achieved if the government policies and legislations support conservation of soil in all parts of the world.

Thousands of Earth Buddies are supporting the Save Soil Movement all over the world and also in Australia. Conscious planet movement supporters are also participating in on-ground activities to bring awareness to the public about Soil Extinction and the urgency for action. Many new supporters have joined the walks and many more have registered as an Earth Buddy. As a part of this, on April 24th, Brisbane witnessed over 45 volunteers walking in the streets around King George Square. There were able to interact with hundreds of passersby and spread the word. From time to time, they stopped to perform a dance jig with catchy music created particularly for this movement. It’s a great opportunity for like-minded supporters of the movement to get together, share information and educate the public. Like the previous times, this walk was also well received.

This movement aims to create mass awareness so that the democratic population of this world can help change the narrative on soil and the urgency in implementing measures to remedy the situation.
