Christmas in the Park at Calamvale

(From Newsdesk) The city of Brisbane celebrated Christmas in the Park at Calamvale in a big way this year. Cr. Angela Owen organized a community event in the Park to bring the community together to celebrate Christmas. The event was packed with Christmas Carols sung by children and adults.

Among the Carol singers were students of Sargam Music Academy who started the entertainment show with foot tapping Christmas carols Felice Nouvidad and Jingle Bells. The air was soon filled with a pompous festive mood. Cr. Angela Owen has often encouraged and supported students of Sargam Music Academy. She has also bestowed them with certificates of encouragement for singing at various cultural festivals.

This was the Council's annual Christmas festival in the Park. It was attended by many local families of multicultural background. There were stalls of food, drinks, clothes, variety items and trinkets for Christmas presents and decorations.
