World Hindi Day celebration enlightens Melbourne with cultural splendour

The Consulate General of India, Melbourne, joined hands with Sahitya Sandhya Melbourne, Hindi Shiksha Sangh, and Hindi Niketan Melbourne to commemorate World Hindi Day in a spectacular event organized on January 10. The occasion witnessed a vibrant array of activities, including a poetry competition, dramatic performances, inspiring speeches, and captivating cultural displays.

The festivities commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, setting the stage for an evening filled with cultural richness. Consul General Dr Sushil Kumar expressed gratitude to all participants and shared the message from India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. A special acknowledgement was extended to Dr Subhash Sharma for his commendable efforts in promoting Hindi in Victoria, Australia.

The celebration unfolded with poets captivating the audience with verses on life, time, struggles, and contemporary issues. The younger generation also showcased their talents through engaging skits, contributing to the promotion of the Hindi language.
