Trophies & medals presented to ‘Jalolsavam’ boat race winners

The MAWA Malayalee Association of Western Australia Inc and Malayali Association of Perth jointly organized ‘Jalolsavam’ Dragon Boat racing competition recently. Consul General Amarjeet Singh Takhi presented trophies and medals to the winning teams. He was accompanied by Dr Jags MLA, Mayor Ruth Butterfield - City of Armadale, Cr Shanavas Peter JP, Cr Sam Singh Virk- City of Armadale, Justin Jacob of IHNA, and President Arun V. Nair of MAWA. The event saw enthusiastic participation of community members in celebrating the cultural heritage and over four-century old tradition from the state of Kerala in India.
